All the above doesnt come as a surprise as we have already been discussing it mind, the rise has been due to the approaching licence and some newer investors looking at charts and assuming we were going to get the full licence this month.

We were not as the RNS in Jan pointed out. (We have interim accepted terms but the negotiation begins. 60 days max ish) Nevertheless it is also because under 0.10pence is way oversold and there should not be panic just because a number of shorter term punters have pumped and dumped and are not longer term.

The rise is welcome but overdone in the short term of a week, profit taking then this should settle as the '60 days' and the next resource update comes.

Roll on two more years ZINC ?

Lets see the negotiation as well, am sure the company is livid over any undue newer charges or rules.

Yes, I can see the meeting - it's gone on in an ill ventilated room, everyone's had their say, - but never lose sight there's a reason the Namibian currency is tied to S.Africa.

James & co get introduced to their new boss!

I don't see how the statement today matches with the NEEEB they (Gov.) could simply not reply to the letter in time. It needs a delay to be asked for - because if the licence is granted & does not concur with the " possible"
Law then what?

Today people learned that 50% up means SFA on AIM. Liquidity is everything & minutes after the RNS
25% disappeared.

What have they got themselves into?

Come back Mr Shali.

This share is the only one I've owned that has annoyed so much.

Square the circle.

National Equitable Economic Empowerment Bill

In conjunction with assessing the Supplementary Conditions, the Company has been examining the implications of the Government of Namibia's proposed broad based empowerment legislation. A draft bill (the National Equitable Economic Empowerment Bill, the "Draft Bill") has been published and a period of public consultation is open until 29 April 2016. If enacted, the Draft Bill will set out obligations for companies, irrespective of sector, in respect of, inter alia, ownership and management participation by previously disadvantaged Namibians. Certain obligations under the Draft Bill are inconsistent with those laid down under the Supplementary Conditions to the Notice. The Draft Bill can be found on the website of the Office of the Prime Minister of Namibia (www.opm.gov.na/web/opm/neee-bill). The extent to which the Draft Bill would place obligations on the Namib Project and the timeframe for finalising and enacting the Draft Bill is not clear at this stage, but will undoubtedly be an area on which the Company will need further clarity in due course.

NB : I note the posts of the FLUs group. It is much as I have said and you guys will know from the Uranium situation, I suspect the government are intending to extend this type of deal to all sectors as we have elected Namibians on a socialist agenda. All those people that vote Labour or Corbyn in the UK should be delighted as it is right up their street, funny when it takes away profits from investors hard earned risk.

I guess we are just guilty of 'non-earned income' that Nick Clegg calls it, I call it taking real risks with capital in a market forces world, Clegg calls it time to introduce massive taxes against those nasty capitalists !!!!!! DOH

-----

However the company will fight it but if we have to give up 5-10-20 percent to make a fortune down the line then so be it. We could still be big, and also they need to invest properly with skin in the game.

Also this should pop Namibia down the FDI table a bit !

60 days is plenty of time to lobby and haggle folks !

Time for high commission and big business to do its job, ruddy socialist politicians !

Having said that they are scared on dodgy companies in the past that have profited handsomely and not paid any tax or employed any locals, we as North River are not part of that.

Nobby and other newbies, please examine my RECAP posts and look into the longer term as there is some hope for decent development not just popping up and trading in and out.

Thanks for the honesty mind.

The company has resource coming in the next month or two and it could well extend the ZINC life here till 5-6 yrs on top of already an ROR of 50percent.

Good prospects for the foreseeable if some of the risks (as ever on AIM) are negotiated.

Simple. The company accepts the pre-Feb 28th deadline but is seeking clarity on the next bit which is the 60 day period to conform with supplementary conditions which were previously advised.

The company states that some of the supplementary bits are seemingly contrary to some of the points on the intended new draft bill for NEEE or whatever it is called.

Namely there are certain conditions and now the govt is thinking of stacking on allegedly some more socialist type ones involving public ownership like they have with Uranium I suspect.

The company wants to investigate the specific terms and what they involve, the company will be most unhappy if the government takes some of the profit for free as an extra implied poverty tax or nationalisation agenda.

Cue Robert Magabe !!! DOH

However joking aside it is impertinent but not a death knell, obviously the company should be battling it. In all we should satisfy most of the terms as we already involve alot of Namibians.

Plenty of time to negotiate '60 days Plus' and it isnt law yet.

Also there is plenty of scope for Namibians to actually Buy a holding as we are looking for investors, for free no thanks very much !!!!!

PS I have given plenty of arguments why people mustnt rush to the exit just on licence or resource. There is no guarantee they will want any more shares at below 0.40pence because there are too many already.

Some sort of arrangement should come about.

Also you should NOT judge an AIM company on EPS alone as the theoretical GROWTH potential is the main indicator of a small stock.

Based on revenues and cashflow this should be sound with banks and able to get more debt as we expand.

We have the licence now and we have more resource, once we have the project, barring GS taking this over at 0.40p we have a future now IMO.

Hello Chab,

Please refer my posts of the last few weeks mate.

I have less than 1mill at 0.60pence I havent sold any since last year as I havent had too. I sold about a mill over time at 0.20 to 0.40pence but I dont have to sell any more now. I also cant buy any though either which is bloody annoying as this has gone from 0.005p to 0.12p as I said it may well do !

Dont take any risks yourself on your holding by adding more if you dont want too.

In the meantime hopefully you have got moneyback so far on the ones you have got and I still think this could and should go to 0.30pence.

Will be tricky with raising Phase Two without dilution but if we get the funding and it isnt all GS then I reckon there is a long term future here.

The fact that I am backing James to achieve this is the main reason I am here.

At the AGM etc I bashed the guy with all the angst that everyone has, short of GS having their own interest and not his, I think we are still in the game.

More fool those that sold at 0.005pence (no offence), clearly risk taking is hard though etc...

It seems like I have bought in at the right time! The chart is looking increasingly good for a rise to 0.2p IMHO so even at this level there is a good profit potentially to be made in the short term.

Yup this is underpriced to .2 to .3p and there is no guarantee of extra shares, even in a Phase two scenario as they can be warrant types issued at a date or value. Or even debt based.Either way stock or debt priced at .2 to .3p minimum is good news.Further it might not be sealed till mid year as we have the two months negotiation on final terms and a decent upgrade of metals coming up in latter Q2.Financing will look much better on one-two yrs more of resource !YT

A dispassionate Hedge fund would view events of the next six months and see that there is two strategies.

The first is an obvious no-brainer in that there is a type of arbitrage of the price up to say about 0.20 to 0.30pence.

This is simply because the licence is now going ahead, any chance that we cannot raise the Phase Two and the main risk scenario for long termers is that we are taken out by the new chairman working with Greenstone to buy us for between 0.20p to 0.40p.

Greenstone have numerous at 0.20pence but also a lot at 0.60pence and 0.70pence and to make sense and offer a premium post licence award they would expect and have to pay 0.30pence plus IMO.

The second scenario is that we hit 0.20pence to 0.30pence on licence and go-ahead optimism, longer term risk on us being 0.50pence to 0.75pence depends a lot on the deal we get and the price of the shares at Phase Two funding and also if we are to offer more equity or simply debt or debt conversion.

The prudent way is a combination so I expect the worst case is some sort of convertible to limit the number of shares.

Therefore my best guess is that trade one is virtually risk free IE 0.20pence to 0.30pence a one or two times gain from here, but trade two is more for more patient longer term holders.

The idea is that the USD $200mn fund of Greenstone plus the company and others join together to grow the business across Africa, providing we don't get bought out for a song at 0.30pence to 0.40pence then we can look forward to say 2pence in a two-three year period IMO.

A lot of older holders are averaged 0.50pence to 1pence so they are not as enthusiastic about the current predicament but below 0.10pence represents a one or two bagger easy IMO

Regards
