Main takeaway is that it could be part of the recent requirement to make sure that Namibian investors are on board with the shareholding of any Namibian projects ?

As said, there's plenty of room for big holders to join the party and spread the shareholding risk and reward amongst all.

Already a large shareholder in Martin appears to have left/ be leaving in full. Still find it strange people wish to exit at these levels rather than at least 0.20pence to 0.30pence... that's quite a lot of money difference and clearly the company has no intention of receivership or anything ridiculous like that that would warrant sub 0.10 pence !

The Funding tour may also be kicking in and I wonder what the result will be on any of the North projects ?

Looking out for after event details.

Apparently James Beams has been speaking at the 121 Mining Investment event in Cape Town this week (Monday 8 Feb to Tuesday 9 Feb).

According to a Twitter feed this morning, “Dordabis Copper Project, Namibia will be talked about this week in Cape Town by North River Resources.”

Presumably they are either a) trying to sell this concession to help fund Namib, or b) looking for investment to get the ball rolling on this project. I think I prefer the first option, as Dordabis is at a very early stage, and would require a lot of time and investment to get to production. They could do with a project that provides near term cash flow.

Looking at the trades can the buys sells finally reflect the current situation soon and not other considerations !

Meantime :

ZINC 1692 USD

LEAD 1795 USD

Bit of confidence around oil and thus presumably less ructions around commodities markets ?

Hope we can tie up our business with the ministry and ensure we are fully funded and have a clear plan laid out by half 2 of this year!

Hope zinc will be 2000 by then or more

Seems possibly Mr French doesn't agree ! Must be near his full sale by now if him ?Surprised he wouldn't hold a bit longer under 3percent after all this time ?Possibly why this hasn't flown above .1pence yet. Annoying as we forever see sellers throughout 2013-15 and now into 2016.However this should build up a decent new following now plus some with the confidence to increase at these low amounts. Can't decide at the mo if I am pleased or disappointed it is still below .1pence.Interesting volumes any ways.YT

Topping up at these levels is a no brainer!

Another comment on the specifics would be that Namib participation in profits and ownership is covered by either a state company or private investment company buying up stock at 0.08pence on the open market to say 0.20pence or taking part significantly in the presumed near term final Phase Two funding.

Not as if North isnt in need of some substantial backing other than GS. In fact it would be a rare old bonus if a government affiliated fund for instance took around 10-20percent of the company like with Uranium. Obviously it should be purchased with investment linked cash and not handed over as such !

Now James can get his teeth into the pre-engineering properly knowing it is money well spent and consider all these investment angles.

Hopefully as well there will be a blinking bit of BIG Promotion as well !!!

I wonder if the new chairman added some weight to the argument? I would stop drilling if still doing so and conserve cash. They are granting the license already on existing reserves so prove up more later when the cash is flowing. IMO

More on the conditions.

From what I know we have already painstakingly answered all questions on things like environment et al.

Participation in the project is a no-brainer as we have been pushing that ourselves as a favourable for us.

We have local project Mgrs also in any case. Ironically it is about Namib providing the trained and experienced staff of which there is more a shortage than a glut !!!

Finally folks ! Lol

A bit late but hey ho !

Shame I'll probably make pocket money by this stage unless I can find more down the back of the sofa !!!!

I'm wondering whether NRRP's existing cash balances is sufficient for the 3 (?) months until licence award or whether we're likely to see a share consolidation and fund raise before that.

Yes, nothing seems straightforward here. But maybe all the conditions will be met and eventually a licence will actually be granted.

I hope that they can make some fast progress now to prove the doubters (i.e. me!) wrong.

I get the feeling that MF may well have completed a series of disposals to under 3% but he is now continuing to dispose to zero holding. Either he knows something or he was not very happy with what has transpired, or both!

By the time we get this mine up and running, one would hope zinc will be in short supply.

Would have expected the directors to have noticed the sharp rise with the short interview with mr Bellows.

Why cant they see thay promoting the stock in a positive manor ramps up the price.

The future potential for this stock can be great. whats the harm in promoting that!

I for one would be encouraged by something positive.

I have been buying at the these low levels. only small bits but now have a good amount. I am certain the resource at namib is very sizeable. More so than they let on...

They dont invest blind greenstone.

Expect a big resource increase RNS

1mack,

ZINC $1586 and LEAD $1657.

Whilst not brilliant a definite improvement and a broader bit of confidence for the time being, how long it will last is anyone's guess but the metals have a good implied demand curve versus supply as we all know.

Certainly a strong and more beneficial change from $1400's not too long ago.

Two risks:

1: "Namibia for the Namibians" election stance could be taking forever to be translated into detailed policy, so that new licence e.g. is granted on condition that Namibian gov't owns or allocates N% of the stock to Namibian shareholders. Plenty of room for arguments within the ruling party or in consultation about how that would work:
How big is N
How is a Namibian shareholder defined
How would such a scheme ensure there were takers
Could there be more than one somewhat entrenched view within government

2: A view, ignorant or otherwise, that with the drought Namibia has other priorities than developing a zinc mine when China doesn't want any zinc

There is also what's euphemistically known as "country risk".

Once I have moved house, which will free up funds, I might put 5% back in on YT's theory, or more certainly wait until licence and funds have arrived and then do so. Read about Charlie Munger's approach, which could be summarised as "if something can go wrong it certainly will, so hardly ever invest in anything"!

A good thing I had this experience with the limited funds at my disposal before our house sale. We've all been burned to a crisp !

O/T Rampair, I think the market will look to consolidation or some busts in the energy and mining sectors before it allocates risk capital in the market to bombed out stocks. The safest smaller companies bets could be those with the best balance sheets.

Otherwise I gather the big ones are very undervalued and they are therefore safer for the bigger flutters. You dont need to risk big money on tiddlers when BHP and Glencore and the like are floundering share price wise.

Always interested in any stocks you want me to get into mate, at the moment I am studying away from AIM stocks. (investment funnily enough!) LOL

Dont ask me about FCA rules I have had enough for now !!!! >;o)

Hi Rampair.

Only have time at the moment to follow North to the degree that would warrant me feeling like I knew enough to comment and add value. I did try and follow PPC but that is down to 5-6pence on oil from teens and above.

I havent the funds to invest anywhere else I am hoping that my current North is going at at least 0.25pence if it is going to go.

Any shorter term funding you would suspect would be convertible to GS as I doubt they would want to see more shares before November 16. This being because they have to pay at least 0.2pence and above before then, if we had another billion say of shares at .0005p then this reduces the benefit further of them taking us over at 0.2pence if that is their intention and they get the new guy to do one of those 90percent equity deals.

Mining cannot be completely dead, I cannot see that it is set in stone that no-one will provide the development cash ever. Alot can happen to price by mid 16 and beyond. Plus at the snails pace that this moves then I think we may have another year or two on the life in resource as we go.

All rests in the interim on licence, I do not know what the contingency is around awarding but the board must be doing their nut ?

GS will lose all their share equity on this busting, seems unlikely if they have X in their fund.

Still optimism for holders that minimum is 0.30pence I feel at worse and therefore the gap between 0.05pence and 0.25pence IMO is a big one.

Anyone putting a small amount in now has a good bet IMO on a few bag at this level.

I cannot believe 2014-2016 in this stock, now I know why AIM is never a certainty and why you should not bet your pension on it !!!

Regards
