Would be really grateful if someone who goes to the AGM could give an update on the vibes etc.

Have to say am v unimpressed by the lack of updates - they haven’t even bothered to put the annual report on the NRRP website.

Oliversydney, in the prolonged absence of any updates from NRRP/Namib & regulatory filings, are you able to give us any further insight on what’s happening?

I’d imagined - maybe wrongly - that once production was up & running (is it?) that the majority investors would be seeking an ‘exit’

According to the Companies House website the accounts of NRRP are overdue and should have been filed by 30 June.

It did file it’s confirmation statement last week.

Certainly doesn’t seem overly bothered about keeping its shareholders up to date - no updates for over 5 months despite (possibly) having moved into the production stage.

Given that, from previous timelines, we’re supposed to be producing now, how about an update NRRP?
Nothing on the North River website for over 14 months & no updates on the Namib website for over 4 months.

Thanks...would be great to see nrrp resurrected at last.

As NRRP don’t seem to bothered about keeping us informed of what’s happening, I had a quick look around and found the text of a speech on 7 May delivered by the president of the Namibian chamber of mines, which included:

“The re-opening of the naming lead and zinc mine, at an investment of US$21.4m, made significant progress in 2018, with first production expected in the second quarter of 2019. Upon completion the mine will create 150 new jobs in the mining industry.”

The 2017 nrrp annual report - the latest available on its website - suggested that first production would be in Q1 2019.

Also in the chamber’s speech was a piece about a proposed change to income tax, which he said would lead to “non-deductibility of royalties in assessing income tax for non-diamond mining companies”
Probably not good news - anyone understand the consequences?

2017 NRRP annual report seems to have been released in early May 2018, so maybe we can expect 2018’s report soon?

Have seen a couple of articles this week saying "The Namib Lead and Zinc mine near Swakopmund is set to start production soon"

Not sure if this site accepts url posts but if you google 'mixed results for Nam's mining sector' you'll find the southerntimesafrica article.

Must be time for another update from NRRP.

Hi YT
Good to hear from you, I hoped you would see what had happened
I spoke with TDI who have had a few people enquire re asset match, they told me today that they would not be getting involved in trading with those who are still holding shares.
The options are to withdraw which will be free of charge and a certificate will be issued, you then have your shares in a certificated form.personally I cannot think of a reason to pay them for managing the shares when they are not willing to do anything with them.
I've had a look at the Share centre and you can enlist your certificate with them and tell them what you want to do I.e sell at the next auction or even buy (at a cost)
I think I am going to with draw from TDI and hold the shares in a certificated form.
I am sure there is a AGM on Thursday 15th, are they still holding it.
There is no update on the nrrp site as the London office has been closed, I am not sure whether they will be updating
I imagine that it will take some time to put things in place however once they do, will result in good things. I still believe in this company, we just need some help now we have the long awaited licence !!!!! I imagine they want to get on with it as the licence I think is 10 years, I am not sure of the mine life, was it around 5-7 years ??
Any way would be good to hear from you again

Good morning,

No doubt you will have come across the recent RNS concerning the delisting of NRRP and the fact that the company has put in place a dealing facility via Asset Match.

hxxp://www.northriverresources.com/documents/ResultofGMandCancellation_000.pdf

In the first instance, I would suggest registering www.assetmatch.com and adding North River Resources to your 'watchlist'. Here you will have access to dedicated company page which contains a raft of information including auction instructions, how to participate, price history and a live order-book of buyers and sellers.

NRRP will also be posting shareholder updates here too and we will ensure that you are kept up to date.

If there is anything that you need help with then please do not hesitate to get in contact on Tel: 020 7248 2788 or alternatively Email: ben.weaver@assetmatch.com.

This is the first time - admittedly belatedly - I've seen it explicitly stated that there would be no licence until the law was passed, but I'd sort of assumed that was the likelihood.

It would seem to cast some light on the NRRP RNS comment 'talks with the Ministry are ongoing.'

An NRRP RNS on 23 March 2015 said "North River is committed to maintaining a regular and constructive dialogue with its shareholders and accordingly it will hold shareholder conference calls on a quarterly basis moving forward, in addition to supplementary communications as appropriate".

The last conference call was SEVEN months ago on 8 July.

While NRRP's management must be tearing their hair out over the lack of licence, I am becoming increasingly disenchanted by their failure to keep shareholders adequately informed about what's happening.
