Posted at 22/11/2019 14:25 by hercules10 New FD, no reasons why current FD leaving and CEO, Brick stays on despite seeing shareholder value eroded from 120p to 18p at low. Surely the new activist investor will want a change of leadership. Value erosion and dividend erosion on a massive scale but CEO remains in place |
Posted at 30/4/2019 18:02 by cascudi it might be a long recovery... it is hard time for retailer... cutting the dividend is not a bad thing in my opinion... i am a contrarion investor.. so i am happy to wait... i might be wrong |
Posted at 22/9/2018 16:02 by cascudi eps does not look nice but the operative cash flow is still goodassuming that operative cash flow at the end of the year will be be 8m .. this is 4 times ev... so very cheap in my opinion. debt ratio and quick ratio looks very healty to me... and the price to book value is 1.24... again very cheap to me. if you are deep value investor this is the type of company you want to invest.. if you like growing or momentum investement may be not the right company.. all great investors buy when everybody have fears to buy... if you like value investing ... listen this guy if you have time |

Posted at 22/9/2014 16:36 by speedsgh LM - Simon Thompson (Investors Chronicle) has been championing MOSB for some time + the attractive dividend yield has doubtless been drawing some in even if part of it appears to be being paid out of cash reserves. The yield is quite attractive at the current level (5.5% based on forecast 5.20p against current offer of 94.25p) but I can't quite get comfortable with it. Think I will have to leave it. Upside does not sufficiently outweigh the downside for me. You can't be in them all i suppose. GLTA |

Posted at 08/8/2013 21:52 by frenchfry "A dynamic and forward-looking organisation..." So says the Moss Bros splurge on the Company web-site. In the complete absence of any trading in the Company's shares over recent days, would it be too much to ask for the BOD to show some enthusiasm and even dynamism which might catch the interest of investors? A pre-close trading statement would be a good start. Frankly, I'm bored with the MOSB SP: "Always 60.75p" |
Posted at 02/10/2010 10:03 by pmeldrum Buy recommedation in Investors Chroncile this weekMoss Bros smartens up On the face of it, an 11.6 per cent increase in like-for-like sales suggests Moss Bros has smartened its act up after the upheaval over the last few years, which has seen major changes to the board and store management teams. But losses widened on rising costs, including £0.4m in severance and restructuring payments and £0.4m from rising turnover-related rents and management recruitment. However, new finance director, Robin Piggott, who joined in June, explained that these were unlikely to be repeated, and said that a planned simplification of its cost structure was unlikely to incur further significant one-off costs. Moss also attributed £0.5m of the loss to two flagship refits which closed stores for longer than expected, and said further modernisation of its estate wouldn't have a similar impact. Refits completed so far have led to improved trading, and the group was awarded a Glammy award for the best menswear outlet on Oxford Street. It said a shift to more contemporary ranges from suppliers such as French Connection and Ted Baker, and office workers smartening up to avoid redundancy meant current trading is steady. House broker Altium Securities expects adjusted pre-tax losses of £3.1m and a loss per share of 2.5p in the year to January 2011, rising to EPS of 0.2p the following year. |
