This weather is not suit weather at all. Bound to hit MB. Will be a difficult trading statement in Sept I think. Positive if HOF disappear as another competitor brand goes but MB not being digital enough. Below average market ecommerce growth and the stores are looking less relevant. Senior mgt a lot to answer for here as own goals with stock, not investing in digital and IT and most of the exec team left over the last 2 years when the business was doing well. Hopefully the new FD from Charles Tyrwhitt is a bit more savvy to digital and will invest. If not the cash could soon disappear if trading gets tougher.

A steady realistic trading update. Stock shortage sorted. e-commerce up 11%. "The Board remains confident that the business is on track to meet market expectations for the year." Plenty of cash. Dividend looks fairly secure at 8.7% yield!! Looks like a buy.

Buying a chunk, good season ahead for top hat & tails etc Seems to cheap down here, will hold for a few years, maybe taken out by then by an overseas predator?

Probably a new approach needed as suits become less needed for work. But I believe there is room for a mid range men's clothing specialist, and the service levels in moss are excellent. I continue to hold

Never been in a Moss Brothers store but today acquired a small shareholding.Difficult to understand why their shares are so unloved.Even if suits were going out of fashion,I am sure they have enough business acumen to adapt to new smart dress styles .

Just received a 20% off voucher if I spend more than £100 in store or on-line. A sign of a new marketing push?

Could some canny investor tie up with a top marketing guy to turn that trend ?

I think suggesting it may go bust is probably a bit premature. The balance sheet is fine and they expect to remain profitable this year. I just wonder whether the trend isn't towards wearing less and less formal wear at work. I know in my last two jobs I have been able to dress down every day. I have a couple of nice suits but I don't seem to have to wear them very much these days.

The company has taken a short term hit because a supply mess-up which now seems to be under control. Six month's earnings lost at the very most. Shouldn't depress the price by more than 5-10%. But someone's head should roll! The pressure on the whole UK retailing sector is more serious but MOSB seems to have stabilised with decent growth in e-trading. Juicy div yield even at reduced level. Good cash flow. Takeover possibility for premium brand reputation. Seems undervalued to me at this price which is 50% down on the year.

Good result. Can't believe this is no flyingEnterprise value 34m Vs mcap 46mOperating cash flow 12m that is 34 per cent of the ev. Dividend 8.5 per cent cover 1.33 times. This must be a takeover soon imo

4p dividend is 10pc yield at this price. The balance sheet is good. To me this undervalued company. May be takeover? As they say buy when there is "blood" in the street and hold.

43p when they've had circa 20p per share cash on the balance sheet recently and they're still going to make a profit looks well overdone IMO. However, the 'material short-term issues with the resulting availability of stock' reflect utter incompetence by someone. It's better to take a significant margin hit until the problem is solved rather than upset customers with poor availability. Heads should roll...

Grim update today. I fear further warnings are to follow this year so I'm out. Slashing the divi by so much makes me think the position is worse than has been revealed so far. Will monitor but would be very reluctant to buy again.

Brick must be under pressure. His mistake re supplier base and now divi cut. Lost too many of his original senior team and now business under pressure. Takeover opportunity for the Chinese if they are brave enough.

Was the recent shareholding RNS a case of Chelverton buying a new stake, or merely averaging down on an existing position ?

Dividend percentage is pretty good now. Still good cash flow - so it does not seem under threat initially It was a limited profit warning. But outlook constrained. I guess it could fall further - worth keeping a watch on maybe
