The lights on but no one's ordering, not safe to assume that all plc's are automatically safe, this one worries me

Thanks, link doesn't contain above but i'll take your word for it, been following MOR since 7p but last update put me off and bid rumours have been swirling around for a few wks, might be worth a punt.

Morse, the IT consultancy, 2¼p higher at 13½p, could be in need of closer inspection. Up from last week's low of 9p which followed its warning that trading in all of its divisions remained very challenging as customers deferred orders, punters dived in amid revived gossip of a US cash bid of 25p a share. Investec's target price is 32p as balance sheet stability is improving and there are signs new operational controls are working.

well rising off a reasonable support, but the volume, although much higher than recent weeks, is not that abnormal...with 3 or 4 other trading days of similar volumes and one with 3x todays...

Well I would have stayed in but it seemed I had missed something disturbing in the results with everyone dumping so just followed suit for my own safety.

Treat every trade as a new one tho, imo. Even if I got stung once I am not letting it get away - easy to stop yourself making a good trade because of a past slap from the same stock imo.

Bought back in despite having been slammed out - something up - a 2.2m buy and loads of other large buys?

Something up.

Considering the statement to still be at 11.25 isn't bad..... suggest take over isn't far off - otherwise why would they stay at such a level - statement should have dropped them to 9 or less...

Me too, these were one of my first ever buys. Taught me a lesson trying to buy and make a quick "penny share" profit. Bought at 11.45 sold at 10. Have put money into something bigger and more reliable.
Good luck to those still in I hope you get 15p at least!!

Its one thing to be in debt, but to have no orders, and to broadcast your plight.....is effectively putting yourself up as for sale piecemeal. The plc is worthless because of the debt. But it may be able to sell bits off if it acts swiftly.

I concur. It basically says "we aren't selling anything and the clients are giving the reason as the recession, that they may buy later but not now" which is inevitably code for "we have been informed you might go into admin and cease trading so we will not be ordering stuff"
If these are discrete divisions that can be sold, they'd better do that.
