10/7/2009 21:41 | blackbear - It isnt specualtion they announced that they have recieved interest from two parties. But why would they need a rights issue when they have £12 million cash? Its highly indebted companies that need rights issues. I suppose you sold and dont want it to climb as you might kick yourself thats why your trying your best to get it lower however bidders dont usually start with their highest bids. Its not nice when scare mongerers have hidden agendas post nonsense like you have just done. | she-ra
10/7/2009 21:23 | I agree but seen these situations unravel many times before, the right downs may have surprised the bidders who knows I wouldn't be surprised to see a rights issue once the speculation has diminished... sold at 24.5p (41% gain in a week) thankyou very much. | blackbear
10/7/2009 10:57 | lr4850 - Theres no hype. There are facts such as the company has £12 million in cash, Spain and Ireland are set to return to profitibility and the market cap is under £30 million. Oh and there are two companies stalking it. I'd say Morse is seriouslty undervalued especially if this turnaround continues we could be back to profits approaching £8-10 million. Analysts are suggesting technology companies will be coming out of the recession earlier than any other sector and with the strong dollar vs sterling I wouldnt be surprised to see some interest from the US with Morse. | she-ra
10/7/2009 09:25 | ft small cap section has the pamure 39p story and mentions wipro, computercenter and avnet as possible bidders. | victor2
10/7/2009 08:34 | It's not hype. It's people only buying on news instead of investing in a good company at a bargain price. Same problem with many stocks really. Question is, what's it going to take for a load of people to start buying into this stock and sector? Of course, a revised offer will have the quick buck merchants jumping in again. Why did it rise before the news of an approach? I assume somebody knew the approach was coming or that rumours were about. | mf10
10/7/2009 08:07 | she-ra - 9 Jul'09 - 14:55 - 643 of 645 lr4850 - How much further can it fall when it has £12 million in the bank,is continuing to turn around and has two predators stalking it? 1.75p yesterday and more today as the froth comes off the share price hype | lr4850
09/7/2009 17:13 | pamure gordon has uped price target to 39p from 22p | victor2
09/7/2009 14:56 | We'll see what happens? | lr4850
09/7/2009 14:55 | lr4850 - How much further can it fall when it has £12 million in the bank,is continuing to turn around and has two predators stalking it? "wish MOR shareholders all the best."No you dont youre deramping and I wouldnt hold your breath for a Mor takeover of Exploite as they have sensibly said they arent looking to make any acquisitions. | she-ra
09/7/2009 14:52 | hi she-ra yes, big time; feel t/o or merger very good for xploite/MOR. I think we are in the frame and Smith knows a thing or two about IT companies. MOR Trading update has knocked the price and i think it will fall further. Talk months ago that MOR could be a good target for XPT. However, i'm not too bothered as there are many other potential targets out there and wish MOR shareholders all the best. I'd even like you to put in an offer for XPT who have far more cash in the bank. | lr4850
09/7/2009 14:46 | lr4850 - Your also an Xploite shareholder.Interest | she-ra
09/7/2009 14:22 | Timing of release is interesting. To peg the price perhaps? At this rate 25p offered will be a good price. | lr4850
09/7/2009 11:04 | Why all the sells at 25p. Surley 25p is now the bottom limit?? | thebridge
09/7/2009 07:42 | Mr.yesyes...100p?... | abcd1234
08/7/2009 23:29 | We need to see the price go above 25p, otherwise it is indicative that a 25p share is a done deal. With a company like this, which lost orders because of speculation it would go under in Q1 "the post Woolies meltdown syndrome" where short sellers simply hammered 100's of plcs, for a while there was a problem. Then masses of small investors put a few hindred quid in each one and are now laughing all the way to the bank on most of their purchases and treading water with small paper profits on the rest Now there is no problem. £12m in the bank. 25p a share rebuffed, we are back where we were and in the spotlight and 100p plus should be possible quite soon | mryesyes

08/7/2009 20:29 | I noticed Google is going head to head with Microsoft over laptop operating systems. Do you think Google and Microsoft could both be interested in Morse MOR? They are always wanting to add more fuctionality to their systems. If Google and Microsoft are the bidders they both have lots of money to spend IMHO. | flyingswan
08/7/2009 19:49 | abcd1234 - Companies on their knees get taken out at the bottom.Morse has £12 million cash. | she-ra
08/7/2009 19:35 | exactly, but this is typical of the current situation.........co Lets see what the other bidders will come up with ...... | abcd1234
08/7/2009 17:51 | I think we need to be clear what the situation is here.Morse have said the 25p offer 'significantly undervalues the company'.I somehow dont imagine that 30p is what they are looking for I would suggest that they see 45-50p to be a figure to open discussions between the company and any predator. What todays news might do is draw out other potential predators.I wonder if Computacenter will be running the slide rule over MOR considering Computacenter is staging a major recovery and its profits are benefitting from the service side of their business. | she-ra
08/7/2009 17:38 | Hmm, I know little about Morse I must say, have just arrived, but on my initial scan the likely EPS to June 2009 is probably not much more than 3p, surely in these markets they couldn't hope to get more than 10x, valuing the company at 30p per share? Or is it felt that there is likely to be a swift recovery to 7-8p per share as in 2008, by next year say? In which case perhaps 40-50p might be fair. | cyberbub |
