27/2/2007 00:53 | Hi spurious, george and all Just spent the last few hours reading the last 15 months of the thread and congratulations that it remains one of the most intelligent threads on Advfn. Not sure what to make of the company formerly known as Mondas, and too tired to do any more figuring out tonight. Will go through all the financials tomorrow and read all the small print. Tomorrow or should I say today for I see it is now the wee small hours, who knows the EGM may be accompanied by a positive RNS and the company's fortunes may be transformed and I may not be able to buy in on the cheap, if indeed it is cheap to buy into! Cheers Roy | 25october1969
26/2/2007 16:24 | Eedeed, I'm sure we are all impatient, but a year is not right - Panmure was at the end of May last year. After that we have been told of "Significant project for rollout of CAPS to US and Asia from existing customer". I am sure we have had some very significant business from the CAPS part of the business. We can only speculate, but it appears quite possible that the £300k slippage at the end of '06 is a phase of the global rollout. We have been given no value for the rollout, but I am sure the total will be in millions. While we are waiting for floods of business from CAPS, Blue Curve seems to be doing its stuff. We are told it doubled its revenue in 2006. It is hard to see that the profit contribution from Blue Curve is not at least 500k and perhaps as much as £750. Doubling turnover again in 2007 would be a tall order, but doubling its profit contribution would not be. The 3 Jan statement showed confidence. They have upped the 2007 forecast to £1.2m and clearly do expect the offending slippage to come in. Presumably we will hear when they announce the priminary results next month. In my opinion a p/e of 4 is ridiculously pessimistic. Sure things can go wrong, but they can go right too. | mollymolly
26/2/2007 15:50 | What makes you think this so called "order" will change anything? There hasn't been a new caps sales for nearly a year now: one swallow does not make a summer, as they say. | eedeed
26/2/2007 10:30 | Hey If any of you guys are going to the EGM tomorrow- Can you ask for me where that order is. We have had to wait too long. Jarlath McGee is resonsible for the CAPS business he should be able to explain why there has been such a big delay in that and any other business. Comments made gave impression of a business going forward yet nothing?? Franklin | fine art
24/2/2007 12:09 | The reality suggests that institutions are not rushing on this one. Be prepared to wait and wait, as I have already suggested over the past years, proving that my posts have credibility, despite the fact of my limited knowledge on the subject. | magpie99
23/2/2007 13:21 | Hi Ram Have to say if I was an institution investing in an aim stock then I would already be prepared to accept high risk for potential of substantial reward and consequently would want to invest ahead of the pack if I believed the story was compelling. Results will be important, but I feel the real risk takers/investors would very much wish to be in ahead of the curve. Best regards Patrick | spurious
23/2/2007 11:45 | I am sorry guys- Several people here said about the presentations and how good they were. Where's the proof? If it was any good the institutions would have bought. They havn't so draw your own conclusion. Now loosing faith in the leadership. | fine art
20/2/2007 15:21 | Yes I you are right mollymolly. I think March sometime was mentioned. | gac141
20/2/2007 15:16 | Are we not in a close period up until the Prelinary announcement of the 2006 results? If so we can't expect any director deals. | mollymolly
20/2/2007 14:42 | Kelv2 I am sure that the order will be on its way. Sometimes circumstances out of your control impact on timing. I add Ian Selby and Jarlath McGee both bought shares relatively recently. Everyone is looking for some reassurance that 2007 will continue to build upon the good work of 2006. As soon as this becomes clearer we will all feel less anxiety. George | gac141
20/2/2007 12:28 | P'raps Peter Waller might buy another 10,000 shares and put our price up 5p lol Minimal director buying here certainly nothing like £80,000. MNS directors confident MDS directors not? PTS also director buying says it all- Everyone but Mondas. Anyway where is that slipped order perhaps directors dreaming again? | kelv2
20/2/2007 08:49 | Manpower Software - MNS - have been able to "do it" without a name change etc... " Elsewhere, Manpower Software added 5-1/4 pence at 44-1/2 following news a director has bought 200,000 shares in the company at 42 pence apiece." P'raps MDS should learn how? | napoleon 14th
16/2/2007 23:19 | Thanks George A new Mondas. This old girl was due a revamp. New name with new prospects. Website movie is definitely more exciting. Do I detect a certain expectation in your tones? I might buy some more. Pip Pip PT | palm top
16/2/2007 18:24 | I am pleased to see the new name. It presents an exciting and much more modern and dynamic feel. It is right to move forward and the risk in Mondas is now vastly reduced. All parts of the business are making a profit. It is now how much and how soon? Mondas have done a presentation to analysts, institutions and some others. It confirms that Mondas in its current form is merely scratching a tiny part of the global opportunity. Both CAPS and Blue Curve products could really be very successful indeed with international presence. The prospects have grown substantially since 2005 and enquiries to the business are at unprecedented levels. The recurring revenue is up to nearly 50% and it will not take much to secure the 2007 numbers. I do expect them to be made. Forgive my exuberance but I genuinely believe the directors are taking the necessary steps to turn this business around and return confidence back to the market and the share price. George | gac141
16/2/2007 14:43 | Andy There has been a very active campaign running to promote the new and much stronger position MDS has built through 2006. When the market is given a taster for the business potentially available in 2007 MDS should flourish. The positive angle from the directors will undoubtedly flush out some buyers and could raise the S.P. The new name is a good move. I liked the concept. SJW | steve_wilson
16/2/2007 13:56 | Price seems to have stabilized. There are a few buyers due to several news articles on Mondas. Mondas could be "Dirt Cheap?" Andy | andy man
15/2/2007 15:17 | Thanks for that jw885. Just about sums up the conflicting views expressed here at the moment. | johnroger
15/2/2007 15:13 | "Shares says: Needs to produce consistant profits and cashflow - but dirt cheap if it does" | jw885
15/2/2007 14:48 | Shares magazine has an article on Mondas today. Anyone able to post it? | johnroger
15/2/2007 14:05 | Thank George. I am wary of the PE argument for 2 reasons. First it does not factor dilution. Second who is to say that the market will afford even a PE of 10 to Mondas with its track record. Its more likely give it a PE 5-10 for a couple of years and see what happens rather than be genorous. I am having a glance at a company with an innovative product just like Mondas. The company is RC group maker of software for security solutions. I find it usefull to study such a company as it gives a model for what management need to do to produce a successful company with rising share price. For instance it concentrates its efforts where it is good at, it doesnt have 3 legs to business as Mondas does. It doent seem to have this odd finance of the CULS( that have to be renegotiated again and again), and makes use of a rising share price to raise funds. The shareholders are happy and this is very good for the image of the company and must help to win new business. All in all the company has a buzz about it. Newsflow is strong and the company has connections in the right places. Mondas doen not conform to this type of model in any way, and therefore I do not believe predictions about the share price | magpie99
15/2/2007 13:47 | What is this "presentation" that two of you have referred to and do we all get a chance to see it? | birdie4
14/2/2007 16:18 | Not sure how to answer your post Magpie. I think many shareholders feel like you. Your post is a request for honesty. These are my thoughts. My view is the main reason for the poor performance is down to consistent disappointment in results. Various surprises of varying magnitude over the years have conspired against the company. I was very very frustrated by the missed numbers and contract slippage. I am assured that it is only a slippage and nothing more sinister. I have seen the presentation and feel Mondas or should I say Corero have a strong story. When it is believed the share price will rise. Orders not words this time. I admit I am guilty of making predictions in the past, which have been wrong so will definitely not do so now. All I can say is currently we are valued on a P.E of 5. The sector average is 18. Were we to get a mediocre rating of 10 on earnings per share of 3.35p (forecast for this year) we would have a share price in excess of 30p. It is up to the management to deliver on what they are aspiring to. The opportunity is there- They have to make it happen and I am confident that we will see a change. George | gac141
14/2/2007 12:48 | On a serious note, why does the share price not reflect the progress made and the fact that the sector is picking up. We are talking about poor performance of share price over the long term, not just a short term blip. Is there anyone who has real knowledge of why this share price does not perform, and what would make a turnaround and when it would occur and could factor in the dilution made to the shares in the forecast he or she makes, who could contribute? . No guesses please- someone who really knows and has experience, as the usual comment we get here is: 25 p before xxx or share price can easily xxx. This sort of prediction has been consistently wrong year after year. | magpie99 |
