10/8/2012 10:44 | Have been following it for some time but I still think its very risky at the moment. If a turnaround did come it would fly but not for me just at the moment but I keep it on my monitor and am watching closely. | simon templar qc

10/8/2012 08:41 | John Lewis sales growth has rebounded as the Olympic feel-good factor, milder weather and new ranges boosted takings. RETAIL WEEK Sales soared 22.4% to £63.33m in the week to August 4, with Olympics merchandise in particular selling well, rocketing 51% on last week. John Lewis head of commercial format and implementation Tim Harrison said: "Undoubtedly, the feel-good factor of Team GB's medal success has had a direct impact in uplifting sales, not only in our London shops but also in our branches throughout the country certainly a great way to start the new half year." | snatander
10/8/2012 08:25 | Not really but I get around a lot and seen you on french connection and a few other stocks I am always on the lookout. | simon templar qc

09/8/2012 10:57 | My rods doing a lot of quivering this morning. | simon templar qc
09/8/2012 09:27 | Yes it is, my divining rod is quivering again I can sense something affoot here. Dow is due to open up and we tend to trend higher on futures up. If its a US predator that is what I would expect. My rod tends to quiver more in an afternoon albeit it started earlier this morning. | simon templar qc
09/8/2012 09:10 | You can say that again! Your rod is quivering again | snatander

08/8/2012 13:12 | Read the links I have supplied, there is no smoke without fire and in any event MKS is still a good cash generative business and pays a good yield. These things take a little time. | simon templar qc

08/8/2012 07:54 | Strong opening i reckon, a 10% move here and we might get RNS news of bid interest i hope | snatander
08/8/2012 07:49 | When they repatriate the earnings a US buyer gets a further ongoing regular benefit | snatander
08/8/2012 07:38 | Yes I agree entirely. We could be looking for quite a premium. I suspect if a bid did come they would have to come up with a bid in the £6 to £7 range to make up shareholders minds once and for all. With a strong dollar a US predator could manage a deal like that. | simon templar qc
08/8/2012 07:31 | Strong dollar means they can pay a hefty hefty premium imho. The retailer, which fought off a £9.1billion bid by Bhs owner Sir Philip Green in 2004, so could be £6-£7? | snatander
08/8/2012 07:29 | According to the Express a US retailer could use the UK to get a foothold here and I agree. | simon templar qc |
