Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Macromac (AIM: MACC) is pleased to announce that Sir Richard Heygate has been appointed to the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 16 March 2015.

Sir Richard began his career at IBM, where he led the team that developed the world's first ATM, before moving to McKinsey where he worked for over 20 years as a senior partner focused on Information Technology and Communication practices. During his final three years at McKinsey, between 1995 and 1998, Sir Richard set up Sophron Partners as an in-house technical support team in the emerging discipline of CRM. Sophron became an established CRM consultancy with major blue-chip clients such as Bank of Ireland, Vodafone and Toyota. Sir Richard served as the company's CEO until its sale to CACI in 2006. Sir Richard has also been a consultant and director of a number of technology focused companies, including Propero, between 2002 and 2006, Welford Technology Partners and Web Connectivity. He set up Anglo Cathay Enterprises in 2013 to provide cultural and lifestyle services for high profile Chinese citizens and corporations visiting the UK. Recently he set up the 88 initiative to build new working relationships between the UK and China.

Resignation of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Macromac also confirms that, following the announcement dated 26 February 2015, David Mathewson, currently a Non-Executive Director of the Company, has stepped down from the board of the Company with effect from 16 March 2015 in order to concentrate on his other business interests.

Appointment of K C Chong as a consultant to the Company

On 26 September 2014 the Company announced the resignation of K C Chong as Finance Director of Macromac to pursue other business opportunities, such resignation effective from 22 March 2015. K C has been working with Macromac during his notice period in order to effect a smooth transition for the key responsibilities within the finance function and to assist the Company in identifying a replacement Finance Director.

The Company announces that K C Chong has been appointed as a consultant to Macromac in relation to the Group's finance function. The consultancy agreement will be for a 6 month period effective from 1 April 2015. Under his consultancy agreement, K C will be responsible for tutoring and mentoring Audrey Foo, the Group's existing Finance Controller, with the objective of her being appointed Finance Director in the future.

Macromac CEO Michael Lew commented: "We would like to thank David Mathewson for his contribution to the Company over the time spent as the Non Executive Chairman of the Company and more recently as a Non-Executive Director. We are also grateful to K C for continuing to provide support by agreeing to be a consultant of the Company to guide the finance function until a Finance Director is appointed to the Board. We would also like to welcome Sir Richard to the Board and we will be looking forward to the synergy and changes within the Company with his involvement as Non Executive Director."
