Cool, just took a position here a week or so ago at a touch over 50p. Nice to fluke some good timing for once :-)

Nothing more to add, everyone seems to be here based on the same valuation principles.

Thanks Steve I noticed share price move, if it was down to you then let me know all your tips, ha! Bought HICL and BT today instead for nice yields and good dividend cover on historic earnings. Regards Paul :-)

It's moved up 4% or so since I wrote that yesterday. Somehow I don't think it was due to my commenting.

But good luck anyway!
Cheers,
Steve.

Hi Steve, many thanks for your thoughts, often shares slide a bit when I
buy, and maybe in this case it has a bit to drop, but I think the underlying figures are all reassuring apart from one part of the co. I've been trading in my SIPP fairly actively in last few weeks, bought PHTM on 07.12 and sold 11.12 for just over GBP 500 profit after all dealing costs. Will buy back if price comes back as good yield and nice little cash cow.
I trade LLOY fairly regularly, I worked there for 32 years, mostly,in Private Banking, then rebranded Wealth Management, or no doubt called summat else by now !
Best regards Paul

Hi Paul. It's got cheaper since I looked at the IMS. If they stick to what they said then, I'd say it's good value - P/E of about 8 and a dividend yield of over 4%, so not a bad candidate for a SIPP. They did say they expect profits to be ahead of last year, when they did 5.97p/shr, and forecasts currently suggest 6.2p/shr. Final results due in early February, so given the price is sliding a bit, it might go a bit lower yet. Having said that, it's bounced off 50p or so before. If I didn't already own a reasonable holding, I'd certainly be tempted. But you should take a look at the figures yourself before making any decision.

Cheers,
Steve.

Looking at the IMS, they say earnings will be above last years and slightly below this year's expectations. If that puts EPS at say 6p/share, then these look reasonable value at this level. I've put a few in my SIPP to add to my already reasonable holding in my ISA. Do wish they'd sort out Yarns though, it's been a pain for a while, albeit profitable last yr...

Cheers,
Steve.

Patience pays. Need to be invested in excess of 5 years, not 5 weeks or 5 months.

Short-term 'investing' isn't investing at all; it is casino gambling, playing a lottery with the odds stacked against you.

The number of shares I have sold up within 2-3 years due to boredom, only to see them eventually 10-bag and even 20-bag over 10-15 years, is frankly ridiculous.
