16/2/2017 12:54 | Hi guys and gals. Hope you are all well and everything in the garden is rosy. I'm enjoying my retirement from blogging but I'm still watching and will continue to drop the odd nugget in here when the time is right. | potholepete
16/2/2017 12:35 | Excellent post Pete, I think you should stick it on LSE pal and show the wider audience just what they're missing. Very exciting times ahead here... | keysersosse
16/2/2017 11:57 | Top up 8.30 Hoops :)) | stevehoops
16/2/2017 11:37 | Nice to hear from you Pothole - your missed. Not lost on me I've been reading up on the types of kimberlite.By the way my eldest has chosen geography as an option based on an increasing interest in geology. | sirianbotham
16/2/2017 11:00 | Excellent, Pothole, and thank you. | drrichard
16/2/2017 10:42 | The key point you are all missing is this one: "Surface textures (microdisks and hillocks) indicate slight resorption of the diamond during transport in the kimberlite magma from its ultimate source 150km or deeper in the Earth, to the Earth’s surface and could indicate hypabyssal kimberlite-type magmatic rock." The vast majority of kimberlite pipes do not contain diamonds because they are resorbed during transport from the mantle to the surface due to the presence of oxygen in the magma that results in the diamonds, which let's face it are only bits of carbon, being resorbed into the melt. The fact that this little tiddler has survived with only "slight resorption" means that this new pipe, wherever it is, is an absolutely prime target for the next phase of exploration and is likely to be highly diamondifereous. KDR must be grinning from ear to ear. | potholepete
16/2/2017 09:21 | So the KDR website, has announced that them finding a diamond is, "an extremely rare event". I'm off out now with a spring in me step. | jenny tulwought
16/2/2017 00:33 | From the front page of KDR website from today: "The Company has recently announced the discovery of a diamond in a till exploration sample which is an extremely rare event and represents a quantum step forward in the Company's diamond exploration programme in Finland."Quantum step/ stunning discovery...... interesting shift in language. | goldeneye5
15/2/2017 22:44 | got sucked into this today...not a happy bunny! | temmujin
15/2/2017 22:43 | Sounds good to me Keya, though with our ex manager in charge of your lot, it seems we may be swapping divisions next season. Quite a few want matters to be concluded in a much quicker manner myself included but those present the other year remain convinced a fine asset build is being built. The L project is as clear as day now as per a certain LSE post and soon comes to the fore, followed quickly by the R and end game here. Not happening tomorrow though, plenty of time for you to get me a beer whilst you're watching the rovers in their Derby match v Accrington......... Take care GT, I'll be in touch with ticket details.... | keysersosse
15/2/2017 21:35 | Keys, I may be a Blackburn fan for my sins but have never had the pleasure of living there or within fifteen minutes of Egerton. Maybe next year I could pop over to Chorley Wanderers ground for the league one Lancs derby? Combine a day of watching who would be crowned Lancashire's finest with discussing what the Prof's kept secret from all but the select few for over a decade. Honestly would love to know, I do find it intriguing and would I assure loved to be proved wrong. You may even convince me to buy some. Just cannot get my head around why they would 'play a game', not look for max share price appreciation and development in a quicker manner? I know the diamonds have been there millions of years and if they are there that is where they will remain, undiscovered unless someone pulls their finger out and gets this moving. | keya5000
15/2/2017 17:14 | I'll side with Jenny here especially as Jenny had the good fortune to meet the Prof and KDR team in Dublin the other year. Those present that day in September 2014 know full well it will be an elongated but very worthwhile project in the long run. The critics should read the last three RNS statements re Lahtojoki. As for Keya5000 .....,I live fifteen minutes from you fella, care to discuss it over coffee in Egerton ? PM if you've got the front then. Let's see the Whites of your eyes. | keysersosse
15/2/2017 15:11 | was it a "control" diamond??????? surely not??????? PMSL. Wait for the next fundraising.....got to be on the cards now......just my opinion, of.course. | thecynical1
15/2/2017 08:37 | STUNNING DISCOVERY, really???More like a copy and paste from the last RNS. They probably got a cheap deal from Preston's of Bolton for their greenish find. | cornishtrader1000
15/2/2017 07:59 | keya5000......get your point, but I do think this little gem of a Gem is worth more than 100 quid. ;o)) | duplicate book
15/2/2017 07:50 | You would think it was the star of Africa. Pmsl. | keya5000
15/2/2017 07:50 | Value of that off Colour 0.8m diamond. £100. If that. | keya5000
15/2/2017 07:46 | Bigboots.... to put it into some sort of context, I think Kim Kardashians diamond engagement ring was more expensive than KDR's current market capitalisation! This mornings RNS basically pads out what we found out previously. The assumption being, that if this 'rare event' diamond was found in a till sample, then there must be other such beauties waiting to be discovered in the area too! I have no idea what such a diamond might be worth on the open market? Thousands? Tens of thousands? Its the millions of pounds worth that have yet to be uncovered that will put KDR onto a different level. Might get a few million more placing shares out of the way again today if the momentum traders want to have another go mind! One can only hope............ | duplicate book
15/2/2017 07:26 | How about putting a value on this ..... bunch of twits | bigboots |
