18/7/2017 11:03 | What are people looking for in the half yearly? If they've managed to put they're problems behind them or at least contain them then I think 300 should be accessible. The only forecasts I can find are on digitalook and they're showing eps full year of 50+ | rhatton
18/7/2017 10:52 | 2-3 weeks until half year results could spark some interest though. Need this to pull above the high 240p range to start from a chart point of view. Nice consolidation phase, now we need a recovery | wallywoo
18/7/2017 10:40 | Not much! If you look at the last 4 months chart , this morning's little spike was barely a ripple. Good for a day trader I guess. | wad collector
18/7/2017 10:17 | What's going on with SP? | chrisgail
18/7/2017 08:22 | Not surprised that interserve does not have any HS2 contracts. Historically they have not been involved in rail construction, but have been heavily involved in support services in the sector (cleaning, waste mgt etc). Construction is a mine field, has tiny margins and large risk. IMO they are playing a very sensible game with the contracts they take on. | wallywoo
17/7/2017 18:48 | Contract extension | rhatton
17/7/2017 17:34 | No mention of IRV picking up any HS2 contracts. Considering how much is available, that's a surprise. | bertiebru
10/7/2017 18:35 | Hi wad. Sitting and holding here, but Carillion management has lost my trust (more deeply at least), so out there. | edmundshaw
10/7/2017 16:03 | Currently looking at big paper losses on both. I shall sit and hold. | wad collector
10/7/2017 10:29 | SP reaction today is because of clln profit warning. IRV will recover over the next few months, but it won't be today. Could not agree with you more Bertie. I have stated before on the CLLN thread that in a way IRV have a similar share price pattern except that IRV are 18 months ahead of CLLN, have had the big fall and period of consolidation, before getting to where they are now. IMO ready to recover. In the meantime, good opportunity for a top up here IMO | wallywoo
10/7/2017 09:57 | Seems to be stuck for now below 245 or so. Hopefully there will be build up to the interims in August that will see us go through | rhatton
10/7/2017 09:56 | Must say I was surprised a few months ago when a few people on this board suggested that CLLN was a better bet than IRV. They have been put decisively to bed today. IRV has a world sales spread that will be particularly useful when we go into deep recession as Brexit bites. The economy needs a lot more IRVs to get anywhere near a balance of payments balance. Just look what Germany does from within the EU. Our politicians have neglected industrial exports for so long that we will all be paying for it for years. | bertiebru
03/7/2017 11:49 | I would actually think she would have significant influence at this stage. The pairing between CEO & CFO can be a very important one to get right. I don't think that this has to be a negative against the former CFO, quite possibly just a pairing that wasn't going to work most effectively. (could be the decision of either party, we don't know). | kazoom
03/7/2017 10:49 | I doubt she'd have much direct influence at this stage. The FD was appointed in the 'Ringrose era' and he may just be following his boss out of the door, through loyalty or discomfort with the new regime, or he may be tainted by the waste energy debacle and be part of a wider Board clearout. | jeffian
03/7/2017 10:09 | New CEO Debbie White, coming on board from 1/9/17. She comes from a finance background and obviously not impressed with current financial leadership. I do not take that announcement as negative personally. share price still looking resilient to me, softly softly. | wallywoo
30/6/2017 22:49 | Thought this week would see us through that resistance but obviously not. | rhatton
30/6/2017 18:39 | Is this company determined to give our bad news every time things start to look like they are turning?Losing a finance director never seems to be a good thing | dandanactionman
28/6/2017 12:11 | I agree Chris, have loaded up at around 220p, and see no reason to bail. It will be interesting to see if the share price breaks above this level this time round. If it does I could easily see us running back up to 300p. | wallywoo
28/6/2017 10:55 | There seems to be an underlying strength to the shares at the moment. It would at the very least be nice to think the institutions are accumulating for the recovery, better still, would be accumulation for a takeover, at this price it must be somewhat more valuable to VC etc. | chrisgail
20/6/2017 13:46 | both the contract win and the goldman buying both look like significant announcements to me (Goldman must of been accumulating for a while since there has not been a volume increase. IRV now looking good to break upwards again IMO | wallywoo
20/6/2017 07:07 | Nice contract win. | rhatton
19/6/2017 15:49 | Goldman buying? | rhatton
15/6/2017 11:42 | oh yeh, got the 13M shares owned and 9%, numbers mixed up there. Thanks for putting me right, kazoom! Even so a significant volume, highest share volume for quite a while. Always makes it worth watching closely | wallywoo
15/6/2017 11:37 | "Only" 9 percent I think? | kazoom
15/6/2017 11:24 | 12M + volume showing today. I guess this is related to the RNS statement and the NY hedge fund Coltrane Master Fund buying in a stake. Interesting why a hedge fund suddenly picks up 13%. Could be worth watching this closely in the near term. | wallywoo |
