12/8/2016 14:08 | Hi Ed, I take it your tongue is very firmly in your cheek by your recent comment..."The only people who had not lost the plot were the management for being honest a few months ago". Au contraire! | bend1pa
11/8/2016 13:50 | With all its current difficult experience in energy-from-waste contracts you might think the company will have learnt more about this area of work than anyone else tempted to tender in future. I'd have thought we would be able to be more accurate with costings & timings etc., & even be able to help frame terms in future opportunities. You never know. | dogwalker
11/8/2016 13:18 | company broker... still, I like the price target of 535p :-) | edmundshaw
11/8/2016 09:51 | Numis cheers Interserve’s debt efforts - <<Numis has welcomed Interserve’s (IRV) efforts to reduce its debts, even before the support services company reaps the benefit of an exit from its problematic energy-from-waste contracts. Analyst Howard Seymour retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and 535p target price on the shares, which jumped 16.8% to 373.7p yesterday after solid half-year results. ‘Interserve is (not surprisingly) exiting energy-for-waste and the timing of completion in 2017 and exceptional loss provision of £70 million remains as before,’ he said. ‘However, the group now expects that much of the cash impact will take place in the current year so the fact that the group has seen a reduced first half and expected year-end net debt figure is all the more impressive.’ ‘We retain estimates, target price and view that Interserve is the most geared recovery play special situation in the sector.’>&g NOTE: Numis are joint broker to Interserve | speedsgh
11/8/2016 08:29 | Good morning bend. Looks like the market really had lost the plot. Insiders didn't already know the next set of results would be bad, the divi wasn't cut, "etc". The only people who had not lost the plot were the management for being honest a few months ago, and those who thought the share price was cheap under £3. | edmundshaw
10/8/2016 15:55 | Amazed by the speed of this recovery. Not convinced by the Board playing down the Glasgow waste venture £70m write-off, and despite that the business is basically just shuffling along slowly on wafer thin margins, so nothing to get that excited about. Still, the market likes the results and that's what counts. | bend1pa
10/8/2016 13:00 | A nice update. The information issued at the time of the contract losses stating it was an isolated issue have so far been proven accurate. Happy to hold and receive the juicy divis for a minimum target of £5. | haywards26
10/8/2016 12:36 | Not an unreasonable target on the fundamentals I would have thought. Perhaps its biggest vulnerability is the narrow margins , 2% means that one unexpectedly expensive event trashes the profit. But conversely , a windfall would make a big positive difference. | wad collector
10/8/2016 12:25 | Happy days. I see this share back in play and I'm going to stick my neck out by forcasting a share price of £4.70 by year end. | leadersoffice
10/8/2016 11:54 | Nice rise wad. | philo124
10/8/2016 08:34 | That has clearly removed some doubts from the market. Feeling less smug about my Monday sell today! But that is trading for you. Rather happier about my main holding. | wad collector
10/8/2016 08:23 | I assume most people here are aware of the webcast today but just incase you are not here is the linkhttp://engage.ve | dandanactionman
10/8/2016 08:10 | Running yield 7.35%. Rising to 7.45% if the full year increase is in line with the interim. | edmundshaw
10/8/2016 08:07 | Up we go. No Brexit concerns, and Energy-from-Waste profits hit has been contained in the one lump sum. The rest of the business is flying along nicely. Good end-of-period cash flow and debt numbers. | edmundshaw
10/8/2016 07:37 | Looks like the core business is performing reasonably well, cash generation good, dividend up, plenty of reasons to hold for a rise in the share price over time. | chrisgail
10/8/2016 07:23 | Well, a hard lesson learned I guess. Divi Up ,lol. | philo124 |
