Yeah true. I consider analyst views but don't give undue importance. I will look to sell this share - when div yield goes below 2.5% - if CEO starts reducing his stake or leave the company - if UK economy growth slows down dramatically or goes into recession. Until then - I am happy to hold.

Good point.
I was looking at the latest broker views and I note that , of the published ones , there has not been a single sell or underweight note for more than a yr from any of them. None of the target prices are that high though .

Agree Wad collector. Still a low PE ratio. Decent dividend yield. CEO holds 0.35% stake (worth over £3 million) in the company which shows his confidence in the business.

The contract wins are impressively regular , one day the market may notice the potential value of IRV and soar into 4 figures , but meanwhile we will have to settle for incremental little rises like this last few weeks .Happy to hold.

Yeah, I scanned the article looking for insight but came away with not much except the fact that the CEO is going to hang around which I guess is good news.

Not a very penetrating interview

Well that has been a pretty solid week here , finishing on a new 10 month high . In the long run this is only going one way.

As jeffian pointed out before, small margins (1.8%) only really apply to the construction side. However, the construction side can be cash enriching as claims are made along the duration of a contract and the cash inflow is often used to finance other sectors of the business.

Small margins are the nature of the sector I am afraid ; they need some very good pricing judgement.

Thanks Thorpematt. All those fees selling and buying back the institutions incur. All for the sake of a comfort blanket.

I wish management could improve the tiny margins.

Spacecake,
I think the election had something to do with that. Institutions de-risking well in advance.

Also the prior large acquisition is not always welcomed since it presents integration risk and exceptional charges which effect the bottom line. (If I recall I likend IRV to an anoconda eating a deer at the time).

And, not forgetting that IRV was £2 not so long ago. A lot of people had some profit to take. These things do tend to self perpetuate once they have started.

Why did we have the dip below 500p ? was that just a random thing ?

Just need to stay now above the 650p, & we have lift off....

Also overweight in spite of top slicing last month, for portfolio risk reasons. Also sitting on my hands for now. £8 would seem a more reasonable price for these imo.

From my perspective IRV is the most undervalued stock I have performed fair valuation calcs for and thus I have no intention of considering selling. I'd buy more but I have rules which i won't breach in terms of % of portfolio.

I agree , wad, re the motoring. Just need to confirm a break up past £6-50, imho, then we can put the foot down.

Nurdin the IRV involvement must be a fairly large part of the £550m if it generates 800 new jobs. But this is old news - it was in the 7th May posting I put up above
hxxp://www.theconstructionindex.co.uk/news/view/interserve-tops-monthly-league-thanks-to-nine-elms-win

However there is another big contract win in the offing
hxxp://www.constructionenquirer.com/2015/06/01/interserve-set-for-300m-armed-forces-rehab-centre/

At the risk of repetition , IRV share price looks set to start motoring again to me . I have too large a holding ,but not at all tempted to take profits .
