I know this is a strange way to put it,,,,,however,,,if IEL were a kind of oil junior (risky drilling etc)the share price would be nearer a £1.50 .... The fact is IEL only needed the funding in place.....as all the licences, TOR's, procurement lines, other infrastructure is ready and in place,,,,and revenue from production is guaranteed... No brainer here as virtually no risk associated... Shame the economic downturn came i.e. banks not lending,,,otherwise the share price would have been a lot higher now.

Just cant buy stock in volume now....to late in the day...

At 55p they can have my 100k with pleasure! I think you're a bit optomistic there, but hope you're right!

IEL had a bad run last year, with late production, due to problems beyond their control,..hence loss of income, but with Gadag Plains alone forecast to produce 55.8m KW/H P/A alone (from the website).. with a consensus price of around 3.39 Indian Rupees p/KH/W (about 26p)...55p is a steal.

I`m currently into IRV,who are proposing to take over `Mouchel`..a peer and is concidered by various analysts to be a good deal for both. Yet IRV are prepared to pay in execces of £173m (MCHL`s current m/cap equal to £1.54p a share) for a company that has £310m of debt with a NAV of just 39p.(25% of it`s share price) While IEL`s M/Cap debt Ratio is about the same however has a 53P NAV equal to 160% of it`s share price....which tells a story, in that a company wishing to expand via a peer/competitior aquisition takes into concideration more than mere intrinsic fundamental values reflected as the price for increased market share...In the State of Karnataka for instance, many companies produce a combined output of 1500M.W...and Suzlon, who also produces turbines, is one of them,,,

a quote from the IEL website
`They have excellent relationships with the three largest wind turbine manufacturers in India`.

dcroston - too early old chum, too early.
you have made the mistake of being psychologically affected by the abberative low price of 18-20p and now believing they are too high here.

Story in todays Times re a bid north of 35p. Always maintained that near NAV (40p+) is likely to take this.

Progress is likely to force a deal announcement to ensure that the margin seems appealing. When we get to 40p a bid of 53p is only a premium of 30%.

The beagle, the late trade of 35.5p has not shown up?
