18/10/2016 12:49 | How about WHM making an all share offer for GVC and then taking over management for the combined company themselves. Wouldnt that be great? I dont know about everyone else but Im hoping that GVC will do the taking over, not the other way round. If GVC take over WMH, the first thing they should do is dump all of the offline stuff ie the shops - its time is over, its dead. CM. | cheshiremoggie
18/10/2016 12:14 | I just want gvc to keep growing and paying dividends, I have now decided to create my pension portfolio for when I retire in about thirty years, gvc is first in. dyor regards active | srpactive
18/10/2016 12:07 | I'll accept £12 per share for my gvc shares from whm | shayadfn
18/10/2016 09:51 | I was thinking of taking profits here but they still look too cheap to do that. | value king
18/10/2016 09:30 | teb Agree re gvc wmh, not vice a versa. I am not to fussed with more US exposure myself, but it sounds like you know far more than me, but then again that would not take much. dyor regards active | srpactive
18/10/2016 09:18 | I hold a lot of shares in William Hills. Originally invested as a "safe" hedge against my risk holdings in PAYS, SCH and GVC. Ironically, of course, Hills has been far from safe while the others have flown. Decent dividend though. It is right for Hills to drop the Amaya deal - it never made sense under any way of thinking it through. A GVC-Amaya really does make sense. A Hills-GVC deal does not really make sense but I can still see them taking a swing. GVC should buy Hills though not the other way round. I will hold all my Hills shares given all the action that will continue in the sector | trentendboy
18/10/2016 08:00 | Do you hold shares in wmh active? | fozzie
18/10/2016 07:58 | Morning, sf yes, I think it was just a smoke screen whilst the real prize is gvc and that is where wmh will now focus in my honest opinion. As wmh stated this morning they want to focus on on line and international, that is where gvc rule. We shall see. dyor regards active | srpactive

17/10/2016 23:26 | Thanks Woodhawk, point taken and having done some more research I'm going to transfer to IG in the next few days. | crookman
17/10/2016 21:05 | UBS has prediction for euro/gbp 1 euro = 1 gbp in three months time. | t 34
17/10/2016 20:57 | Just being realistic. There has been a total disconnect between the Footsie and the post Brexit honeymoon which IMO is rapidly coming to an end. Remember Tusk's words, 'hard Brexit or no Brexit'. Ignore that at your peril when it comes to investing over the next few years. | mylands
17/10/2016 20:25 | I've not had any problems with IGIndex. Trades £8 (or £5 if you do more than 10 per month). Good charting and other tools. Efficient interface. Found it very fast and reliable. Any tech problems have been fleeting and quickly resolved. | woodhawk
17/10/2016 17:09 | Gosh..in cheerful mood arent we, lol | nurdin
17/10/2016 16:55 | I will add a third year-end prediction to my Sterling predictions of below $1.20/£ and 1.10Euro/£, which is that the Footsie will not see 7,000 again this year. If I had to predict its level on December 31st, I would say around 6,700, a fall of about 5% from today. | mylands
17/10/2016 16:12 | deGiro pretty good.... for £1.75 flat commission per trade for a basic service. Very easy to set up. No admin & basic reporting too but easy to do oneself. Been using them for about 6 months now. | sogoesit
17/10/2016 16:09 | Thanks Loganair. Interesting they said close ASAP, been with them for 10 plus years myself...shame to be forced to move. Still a bit torn what to do. The charges on II are putting me off. Looked at IG which better suits my needs but I've heard some very mixed reviews on them. Will take a look at DeGiro. | crookman
17/10/2016 16:04 | Have they said why? Logan air? | festario
17/10/2016 15:55 | crookman - TD has told me to close my account as soon as possible after being with them and NatWest Stockbrokers for 19 years. Ever since Natwest Stockbrokers was taken over by TD I´ve had nothing but trouble with them, right from the word go. I am looking at a company called DeGiro to transfer my portfolio to. | loganair
17/10/2016 14:56 | Wow , half a million shares at 728p, that cleared and allowed us to move up. | festario
17/10/2016 12:49 | Thanks Brownie, I suppose because I’ve been with TD for many years I’m used to it and like what they offer me. I think I’ll give ii a chance, it may encourage me to trade more, I used to do it full time many moons ago but back on the corporate horse now so find it hard to find the time to micromanage trading, hence I’ve become more of an investor now. Your right, GVC would sort their site out!!! | crookman
17/10/2016 12:38 | Crookman, I use II and although its a bit poor on navigation its OK on economics unless you are a very infrequent trader. Tried opening with TDW once and gave up. Huge uneccessary burocracy and terrible user experience. I'd like to think that them getting together will lead to a super slick user friendly digital offering, but will not hold my breath. Needs a online gaming company to sort out their usability issues! | brownie69
17/10/2016 12:21 | Thanks for the alert.I am not happy either. | nurdin
17/10/2016 12:12 | Any others with TD not happy with this? hxxp://www.tddirecti I really don't like iii, their site is horrible, not to mention the £20 quarterly fee. I don’t trade that often but have way more than the minimum portfolio holding on TD to avoid any charges. With iii you will have to trade to recoup the fees. Not happy! I know this may not affect many on here who trade often, but I’m sure there may be others like me who will end up being up to £80 per year worse off with them. Time for me to look elsewhere I think. | crookman |
