13/10/2016 19:36 | Thanks for the additional info on the debt logan. the level of debt in either of the two companies is fairly eye watering. Our debt financing with nomura which comes into play from feb which is Euribor +2 (Euribor negative atm), compares pretty favourably to WMH's various corporate bonds paying between 4.25-7.25% for the next few years. Again, i'd prefer that we pick up some grey market bits like the sportingbet deal, after a bigger entity takes over and is willing to offload the grey markets stuff, then potentially break the bank going for the whole shebang. | diviincomesearch
13/10/2016 18:45 | Amaya down 6% , looks like William Hill deal is off and the door open for GVC | frankiethecabbie
13/10/2016 17:47 | Confess I don't understand all the ramifications but our brilliant Kenny will do whatever is necessary to power GVC ahead: many multiples for me. Also, this is an exceptional bb ~ thanks to everyone here too | gaaston
13/10/2016 17:02 | Totally Gaming says: At the very least, the news of the talks between William Hill and Amaya gives us a fuller answer over why the company was so quick to dismiss the proposal from Rank and 888. As William Hill made clear, the news broke quite early in the discussion process – suffering the same fate, it would appear, as its aforementioned suitors – but whether it has more success in moving this deal to a close will depend on persuading its own shareholders as well as those of Amaya. Meanwhile, as it stands Amaya would come with substantial leverage hanging over it from the original Amaya/Rational Group takeover in 2014. According to Simon French the combined net debt would stand at around the £2.5bn level, an “uncomfortable level” which would leave the company with a potential debt to EBITDA ratio of circa 3.8 times. But despite the business case positives and the upgrade in earnings, Morgan Stanley remained neutral suggesting the deal would come with increased leverage and a higher exposure to unregulated markets. According to the estimates of the analysts, William Hill’s exposure in this regard would rise from its current 4% to over 25%. As Richard Stuber at Numis said, Amaya controls circa 70% of the global market and means the at the barriers to entry are extremely high, it gives PokerStars less room to move into. “Whilst cross-selling sports and casino to Amaya’s poker player database may be theoretically attractive, we remain cautious based upon previous attempts by other operators,” he added. “Poker players tend to limit themselves to a single product.” | loganair
13/10/2016 16:39 | Thanks Festario. As my wife said not only did you buy at the low of the day but your purchase initiated the recovery to 732p. Who am I to contradict such a sage. | fizzypop
13/10/2016 16:21 | I think this talk of wmh and Amaya is just a smoke screen for a gvc and wmh get together. Scare voters with something they do not want then hit them with something they will then jump at. GVC buy wmh, sell shops to private equity, job done. dyor regards active | srpactive
13/10/2016 15:47 | Some mention of GVC in the text under the video... Why a William Hill-Amaya merger could be a risky gamble - | speedsgh
13/10/2016 14:14 | FizzyPop, you'll be fine.... | festario
13/10/2016 14:03 | Shay..thanks for that tip.Mozilla works! GVC not happy today.. | nurdin

13/10/2016 13:48 | LSE share trades swamped by ATs ... not a PI in sight. | fizzypop
13/10/2016 11:34 | The sector is doing OK today, they just don't like GVC for some reason. | festario
13/10/2016 11:19 | 726p and that buy finger is getting awfully twitchy. | fizzypop
13/10/2016 08:08 | I don't do anything = nor do I get any ads, lucky me ! | gaaston

12/10/2016 23:15 | Technicals are looking a bit iffy tonight. . . Been ignoring MACD for some time now as it showed GVC losing momentum for weeks now - but the share price was pushing higher in that time. . . 2% retrace in one single day is nothing to worry about but it does show intent. . . Based on technicals the share price is up for a punch or two to the jaw. . . Could be the time for wannabe day traders to pick up stock. Long termers buy the company not the share price so just grin and bear it though the gyrations. | velod
12/10/2016 21:38 | I agree - ADVFN are really shooting themselves in the foot by all these ads. The more people leave the more they need to squeeze in adverts. This is a very poor business decision. | trentendboy
12/10/2016 21:24 | I think the share price is under pressure because of the potential competitive pressures GVC may face in the event that Amaya and WHM merge.Just a guess. | nurdin
12/10/2016 18:54 | TEB 22970. Posters could be being put off by all the intrusive advertising that ADVFN allow. I have adverts popping up and pages moving as adverts appear. So annoying. GVC continues to be a good long term hold I would have thought. | melody9999
12/10/2016 18:47 | In 2 years or so the UK will be in a different, and yet to predict, world. Markets are speculating on what that may be and the speculators may be right and they may be wrong. Two years away is a loooong time! As you say srp, the future is always being speculated on and the effects, both positive and negative, are impossible to quantify discretely let alone as a sum of the whole. Winners so far: stocks like USD resources, FTSE-100, tourism, U.K. hotels and exporters. Losers: importers mainly. A winner, on the whole, might be inflation which, ironically, the BoE exagerated with the recent unwarranted drop in rates in the face of rising US interest rates!! Good luck putting all that together, coupled with the foolhardiness of QE, and the new environment in 2 years! Since 2009 we're in artificial world which may be turning and so the market itself may now be in a gambling mood! | sogoesit
