Pierce Casey, and Jon Moulton (from Alchemy and Dragons Den) are BIG hitters, they will together own 57% of the company, and would not be putting funds in without confidence in the company's future...

Historically such a deal (where well known business people/ entrepeneurs take a controlling stake in a small business) would have led to a significant rerating of the company, with the expectation that over time their business acumen would help transform the business or even enable the company to be used as a vehicle for larger acquisitions, maybe including the sale of the original business.

In todays market such a significant rerating will probably not happen although it will be interesting to see the reaction following press coverage later in the day/tomorrow.....

jaknife you did not answer, are you an investor or not....or have you some hidden agenda that you feel it necessary to pass judgement on others. I have never been personal and maybe respecting others opinions and views would be a better view to take. I have my profit and have been in this since upton and southern days. I have chosen to be back in and even although it has dropped slightly since i got back in, I am happy to wait for this to rise again as I belive it will.

If anybody else agrees with my comments then please post....

jaknife...simple economics...i sold when it was high and bought when it was low...so how can that be BS. My current holding is at a small loss granted...but i am confident it will go back up and as It climbs I will buy more, waiting to see how they final service the debt.... you need to be in it to win it.

Now I think that explains that....what say you!!!!!!!!! and PS are you still holding

They are a better outfit since the merger and when the economy does pick up they are in a better place than before. my opinion only of course.

jaknife ....The Company has also been in discussions with the administrators to BNB
Recruitment Solutions plc (in administration), to renegotiate the original
terms of the acquisition. The Board is pleased to announce that an agreement in
principal has been reached to reduce the total consideration payable, subject
to the Company securing the necessary funding.

so they have successfully renegotiated original terms, therefore in any case the loss will not be as much, we wait and see.

jaknife......As a result, the liquidation of
BNBRC will not impact the trading operations of the Garner group of companies.

you quite often see profit in the first half of a year. the problem is you do not often see the words "cash profit" together!!

However, the
Garner group of companies has made a promising start to 2010 and unaudited
consolidated management accounts show that the Company traded profitably at the
pre-tax level in the first quarter of the year.

Cant recall the last time I saw the word PROFIT with Garner...maybe all is not lost.

4screws,

No idea. Have not really been following it since i managed to claw back my money and some. Just thought that at this share price that it may well be worth another punt. Seeing the issue with Crown liabilities and raising additional fundsing has put me off.

If you are still holding Good Luck... thought the last acquisition could have been the tipping point...if economy starts to improve and recruitment picks up you might well do okay.
