Leading headhunter Andrew Garner, who was responsible for introducing James Crosby and Andy Hornby to Halifax/HBOS, is likely to stress the future benefits of the recent acquisition of the rival Norman Broadbent business when he announces annual figures for his group on Wednesday.

Demand for top jobs is believed to have picked up in recent months after a poor opening to the year and housebrokers at St Helen's Capital say annual profits may have held steady at around £500,000, with £900,000 in prospect for the current year.

Year end 31st Dec shown in last results. Companies have to report the results within 6 months after year end, hence end of June.

sniffer, they have more accounting to do with the merger and relishing seems to have made a point that I am unaware of, perhaps he might like to clarify how he knows what he has stated so as to help us understand.

end of year results normally published in March. Only times they have been later than that is when the news has been bad.

Year end is December, so they have until end of June to publish results.

just another thought sniffer, if the results are not posted within a period of time from the due date, then a suspension normally accours and they would have to notify the market.

pump and dump lines? If I wasn't holding these I wouldn't be concerned with the lateness of the accounts! Every time a set of figures is due there is activity in the share price (look at the chart) and after each flurry of activity the share price has settled lower. Of course I am concerned. We have had the flurry of activity and we still haven't had the figures. If the figures are good then all will be hunky dory, but, if the figures are bad then this will go down like a lead balloon.

Given the state of the economy and in particular the jobs market there must be some doubt as to why the figures are out so late - not even a statement from the board to say when they will be released. Garner is once again showing utter contempt for the small shareholders.

Thanks, pencilled in around 14th I think. Hopefully some upward movement.Although more shares in issue,approx 70mil now, over 50% are held by directors and mngmt, The share price could increase dramatically with good news, All in my ever hopeful opinion!! Cheers.
