26/8/2016 00:48 | Due credit to the Thorpe family: One of the market's finest investments over the past 5,10,15,20 years ! | coolen
25/8/2016 19:11 | Well the final results are due in three weeks and the second half is always much stronger than the first half so that bodes very well. | davidosh
25/8/2016 17:23 | Sp enjoying a strong run on a very limited news background. Are we due for some consolidation here? | ygor706

30/9/2015 14:32 | After a run up like that most probably a bit of a pull back. BWTF....... | eggbaconandbubble
29/9/2015 20:10 | 220p seems quite high to me, in the absence of forecasts for next year. Any thoughts? | martinc
18/9/2015 13:28 | FW.Thorpe are mentioned in this small cap radio show... | davidosh
10/5/2015 21:34 | Problem with those auctions is that the bids and offers are now hidden until 5 minutes ahead of auction time. Until 2015, they were displayed constantly. By the time my broker gets sight and phones me with the 10 stocks I'm interested in, the auction is finished and all the info wiped. This backward step hardly helps liquidity in smaller companies: it merely forces PI's to accept the jobbers' prices. | coolen
01/5/2015 09:41 | It's a SETSQX stock so subject to periodic auctions throughout the day. www.lseg.com/areas-e | cockerhoop
01/5/2015 08:53 | Why do these shares go into 'auction' every morning? Anyone? | eggbaconandbubble
02/4/2015 08:21 | Modest, earnings enhancing, acquisition of Lightronics just been announced:- | cwa1
23/3/2015 11:15 | Write up:- | cwa1
19/3/2015 19:22 | These results indicate steady progress in my view. The Balance Sheet is very strong and it is good to see that management are prepared to resort to the scalpel when they have to. The outlook seems good to me and the second half tends to be stronger than the first. Very firm hold imo. | ygor706
19/3/2015 08:09 | OK, thank you. I didn't get past the text at the top of the RNS. So, fairly immaterial. | shanklin
19/3/2015 08:03 | Shanklin, They did! Suggs lost £104,000 during the period and a loss of £120,000 was recorded on the sale of the business (being the difference between the recorded asset value and price achieved). | cockerhoop
19/3/2015 07:57 | There's a clue: eps (continuing operations):up from 3.59 to 3.92p eps (basic) up from 3.59 to 3.73p | martinc
19/3/2015 07:43 | WCB No position here but do follow TFW. A little surprised that they announce the sale, at a nominal price, of the Sugg business and don't say anything about the associated impact on the B/S or ongoing profitability. Obviously it will help the latter, but by how much? | shanklin
19/3/2015 07:32 | HY results show nice steady improvement, but the statement is more noticeable for the sweet farewell to 97-year old Ernest ('may his light shine elsewhere'), the final decision to relinquish the antique Sugg business, and the most rapid dividend payment I have ever seen: 'The interim dividend will be paid on 2 April 2015 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 27 March 2015, and the shares become ex-dividend on 26 March 2015.' | westcountryboy |
