31/8/2021 16:30 | What's going on here then? This 10% rise is definitely unusual for TFW. | martinc

20/5/2021 15:58 | V quiet board - perfect. ATH today. | sspurt
20/3/2021 09:20 | Solid interims this week after a number of adverse headwinds in 2020. The devastating fire in the Netherlands has been well managed and cash generation as strong as ever. Modest increase in dividend a sign that perhaps 2021 will be better.Always dyor. | partridge1948
26/10/2020 21:05 | Big move today on decent volume . Any idea why ? | bench2

02/10/2020 09:53 | Decent results with nice clean unadjusted numbers. While revenue rose 2.4% to £113.3m, pre-tax profit fell 18.5% to £15.9m with earnings per share 17.7% lower to 11.45p, although the prior year benefited from the disposal of a property. Operating cash flow was strong at £19.3m with the free cash inflow £11.2m leaving period end cash of £44.4m. More on the Investor's Champion website. | energeticbacker
08/9/2020 22:35 | We must be due some results here soon. Big cushion of cash plus well managed outfit should be helpful in these difficult times. | ygor705
25/3/2020 17:24 | results themselves are pretty good and comforting cash | mw8156
25/3/2020 17:22 | Odd timing but decent results - upping the dividend is pretty bullish too in this environment | panshanger1
25/3/2020 17:05 | Sneaking results out at 4.48PM, what's that about? | cwa1
07/2/2020 11:26 | You've got to love a share like this, with a thread first started in 2004 and with only 317 posts in the last 16 years; no mischievious interest from the TW muppet brigade either - just leave the capable Directors alone to do what they do best. | saint or sinner?
13/12/2019 16:28 | Nice Agm statement and a bit of uncertainty has now been removed so hopefully a clearer road now.... "I am pleased to report that this summer's trading, at our main division Thorlux Lighting, was significantly improved on the same period last year, and its order book has remained healthy throughout the autumn. There are varying trading conditions across the Group, but generally order levels are good. The improved order book comprises some large one-off projects and we have experienced some margin pressure as a result. Whilst we have had an encouraging start, the political and economic uncertainty make it difficult to predict trading for the full year and we remain focused on sustainable, long-term growth for the Group." | davidosh
27/9/2019 13:41 | Quiet board here which probably reflects TFW's current trading position. That said, the recent results look solid to me and at least we have a management who are self reliant, on their toes and alert to the challenges of the current political and economic situation. Not a stock for traders but once the BREXIT storm finally blows itself out the prospects for a company like Thorpe should perk up fairly quickly. | ygor705
13/9/2019 12:58 | Looking forward to their figs next Thursday. Long time no hear.. | sspurt
10/5/2019 10:04 | Bit of a haul before the next news now if the past is anything to go by. The most recent broker comment I've come across is 2/5 from Liberum:- Liberum Capital today initiates coverage of Thorpe (F W) PLC (LON:TFW) with a buy investment rating and price target of 400p. Anyone got anything else of interest here? | cwa1
21/3/2019 08:05 | OK so a quality business but surely massively overvalued at current levels even allowing for strong balance sheet......PE ratio 30? | jaf111
21/3/2019 07:46 | Better interims than I was expecting this morning but consistent with the recent positive trend in the share price This will not be a brilliant year for TFW but management are alert to the issues and always seem to be on-the-ball. Cash flow remains good and what catches the eye is the near £8m increase in the cash shown in the balance sheet to £36m. Happy to hold this one in my portfolio. | ygor705
03/3/2019 07:23 | Quiet board here but the share price is recovering nicely. TFW has not had the best of runs over the past 12 months but the balance sheet is strong and the management know what they are doing. Good enough for me in this particular sector. | ygor705
22/11/2018 15:30 | That statements as miserable as the weather here in Yorkshire today. | playful |
