08/1/2011 13:08 | Any help much appreciated- I have been looking at this Share as it has some strong fundamentals (Net debt reduced, profits up etc) However it looks like the "value" of the business is already in the Share Price; and whilst the future looks relatively positive. I can't help thinking that Media related products can be very "vulnerable" in the current economic environment. (i.e. Magazines etc) Any insight would be great? (As I am still pretty new to this- and learning) | philprofit
30/11/2010 17:00 | Nice little bump up at the end. | broadwood
25/11/2010 13:58 | share price 20 p, at now, maybe it is fair price ? | mkwng
16/9/2010 16:02 | I don't think anyone else is about on here anymore! Just you and me altube. I've been slowly selling over the last couple of months and am now down to my last 10,000 in this share, so will just bung it in a drawer and come back to it in a few years time to see what it's done. | anyoldrubbish
13/9/2010 23:15 | We should move to 25-30 level over the coming months. Then I a think am out | altube
27/8/2010 02:38 | New CEO looks interesting | altube
17/6/2010 10:28 | Thought I had sold all my holding but found as part of a senior management bonus scheme ages ago I have another 53,000 shares. Got a letter yesterday from the registrar. Kind a chuffed but will look to sell at 20p. This company still has some major issues. | altube
16/6/2010 07:54 | We can only hope... | anyoldrubbish
15/6/2010 20:00 | Feel Future being lined up for a management buyout | altube
15/6/2010 14:11 | Some big trades in the last couple of days... | anyoldrubbish
25/5/2010 13:33 | Anyoldrubbish - Thanks for that distribution data. Interesting | pugugly
25/5/2010 12:22 | I think it's probably more of a reflection on what's going on in the overall share market than anything else. Future uses Seymour for its distribution in the UK and, I think (but I'm not sure) handles its own distribution overseas. Might even be able to pick up a couple of cheap acquisitions if this really does impact on small publishers. | anyoldrubbish
25/5/2010 10:39 | Down again. Could it be this. anyone know how many, if any of the Future titles were handled by MMC. (The MMC web site is closed) If a lot oculd be a serious problem. If none then could be a buying oportunity. ?? | pugugly
20/5/2010 15:05 | It's actually been a great year for games so far, with some huge titles released. Just this weekend, Red Dead Redemption launches, which is going to be massive. As for hardware, there's a new 3D DS out later this year, and add-on motion-sensitive controllers for both PS3 and Xbox 360. So the games industry is as busy as ever, it's just that the web has really taken over from magazines in this area. I used to buy a ton of games mags, but get everything I need now online. Sadly, although Future has the CVG, EDGE and GamesRadar sites, they're not a patch on Eurogamer or some of the other game sites out there. Have no idea why this is, they've certainly got the resources, but not a coherent strategy. | anyoldrubbish
20/5/2010 13:57 | I would imagine most magazines in the games market are suffering do to a lack of big game releases (COD was probably the last) and not much changes in the hardware either | outsourcer
20/5/2010 11:31 | Hold my hands up good numbers and could be a take-over target now, as longer term needs new management, an injection of cash and a clear focus on strategy going forward. Games market still a big worry | altube
20/5/2010 11:14 | Quite an upbeat update. Great to see a big reduction in debt, stabilization in the US and good figures from the UK. | anyoldrubbish
14/5/2010 12:36 | Aberforth have picked up some shares, now holding 55,395,450 (17.15%) | outsourcer
12/5/2010 19:26 | Really think they need new blood in there now to get rid of all those in middle to senior management. A big shake out needed or we are looking at a real car crash second half. Could be the first of many rats leaving the sinking ship | altube
12/5/2010 14:31 | Price out eh? Good thing too. | anyoldrubbish
10/5/2010 15:41 | FTSE flying, FUTR falling - what a dog of a share | outsourcer
05/5/2010 17:19 | per the last 2 RNS's Aberforth sold some share (4 May RNS), but then picked up nearly 17M (5 may RNS) to take their holding to over 55M and nearly 17% | outsourcer
30/4/2010 14:57 | Could it be a delayed listing for the Lloyd's Group disposal of a couple of weeks ago? Not sure how these things work, but certainly haven't seen that number of shares work its way through the system until now. | anyoldrubbish
30/4/2010 14:53 | ouch, looks like 4 sells totalling nearly 44M (about 13% of the issued shares) have gone through today at 15p yet the price holds up, which is odd. If it is one party, looking at the major holders per their website it can only be one of : Schroders PLC 21.51% Aberforth Partners LLP 15.84% Fidelity International Limited 12.43% So an RNS must be due soon and who has bought these ? | outsourcer
29/4/2010 11:04 | People did not object to their pay freeze, the staff at Future are a great set of people. But when you are asked to work twice as hard for no more money and then the company try and sneak through (on xmas eve afternoon) an announcement that their CEO has been awarded a 30% pay rise even though she has eroded the value of the business you can see why many now are working to rule, and the best staff are leaving. Disgraceful | altube |
