02/3/2017 08:17 | Indeed mustardmark, it wouldn't take much. Had you noticed this company Sthaler before (in the Blustar stable). Could kick contactless card payments into touch before they've really started. They only have a miniscule stake though. | flashheart
02/3/2017 08:14 | Flash - Blue Star market cap of £1.5m, FFWD now has 21% interest - we could see a buy out in the near future ;) | mustardmark
02/3/2017 08:11 | This clearly establishes that one of our investments has increased in value by 212%. The new investment in Bluestar can now be shown in the accounts at the higher value, so we have crystalised an increase in our NAV. We also retain exposure to Satoshipay and some other interesting startups. I think it looks a good deal. | 888icb
02/3/2017 08:04 | Developments at last! More to come soon I hope as Flashheart says the biggies 🤑🤑 | moormoney
02/3/2017 08:01 | Any views Doodlebug, Lauders, bdog, 888, moormoney........... | flashheart
02/3/2017 08:01 | I was hoping that FFWD would actually take a stake in one of Blustars companies directly.......Sthal | flashheart
02/3/2017 07:58 | martinwj - I think it is a very astute deal - FFWD will increase it's book value of the initial investment by c.200%, retain an interest in the business via another vehicle who incidentally have recently undergone a funding exercise to increase their stake (which now makes sense why FFWD didn't participate). Both FFWD and Blue Star have high hopes for SatoshiPay which is still at a fledgling stage - why would FFWD disinvest at this stage for £425k cash when the ultimate reward could be many multiples of this. | mustardmark
02/3/2017 07:52 | So if they want to retain their interest in Satoshi pay, why are they swapping direct shares for indirect shares in a tiny loss making company with 2 other investments - doesn't make much sense to me. I see that of the 3 investments Bluestar had last year, Oak was a complete write off. | martinwj
02/3/2017 07:45 | BluStar has some very exciting investments (was thinking of buying some the other day and now don't need to). Also keeps their Satoshipay interest alive which they obviously see as increasing further. Explains the non participation in the Satoshipay fund raising now as this was obviously the alternative. Sit tight for the Leap and Schoold 'biggies'. | flashheart
02/3/2017 07:34 | News out! SatoshiPay disposal announced. 212.5% increase over the price we paid, which is very good news indeed.. | bdog51
02/3/2017 01:30 | I thought that it would be Jim only, but I would love to be corrected. Beginning to wonder whether the board should change the name of the company! Hard "Fast" or "Forward" at the moment re: share price. More like "Slow" "Down" but hopefully the Master Investor event and news leading up to it (please!) will get us back on track ;-) | lauders
01/3/2017 19:51 | Thanks db4. I'm hoping that Lorne will be presenting again this year. It's good publicity for FFWD plus I'm interested to hear his updates on the portfolio etc. | bdog51
01/3/2017 19:26 | I think there was a comment by Jim on his Twitter feed quite a few months ago to say that Lorne would be presenting, bdog. I'll email Jim to check. | doodlebug4
01/3/2017 19:08 | According to an LSE poster it will be Jim presenting at the Master Investor event but not Lorne. Does anyone know if that is correct? I believe this is based on the list of presenters published thus far. | bdog51
01/3/2017 09:38 | Adding today.10.099. Ten looks to be a floor and news giving a steer on navs is unlikely to be far off imo. GLA. L. | lenses
01/3/2017 07:59 | Good morning all. I think they'll have known for a long time the timescales involved for each investment, when they'll release news and before which events. They will also have a very good handle on what sale/IPO valuations are very likely to achieve. Hence the bold options levels and the apparent relaxed yet professional manner that they are going about this. Not long now....... | flashheart
01/3/2017 01:11 | DB4 - My sentiments exactly re: news and the Master Investor Show. How embarrassing would it be for there to be nothing to talk about and let TW have all the glory? He has been knocking JM & FFWD for ages and to appear at the show with nothing to show would bring a big smile to TW's face and no doubt a few "I told you so's"! We are into March now, let the newsflow begin :-) | lauders
28/2/2017 18:59 | Good points flash. Also Russell Geyser, Teufelberger and Gigi Levi-Weiss are no fools and have substantial amounts of money invested in FFWD. Lorne Abony is due to speak at the Master Investor Show in March and I'm sure he will not want to stand up to do his presentation trying to explain why the share price is currently at the level it is at the moment compared to where it was in March last year. I expect some very positive news here sometime in the next few weeks. | doodlebug4
28/2/2017 16:49 | Lorne Ebony didn't take a near half stake for nothing. | flashheart
28/2/2017 16:48 | I think a lot are under estimating Leap Gaming completely by a country mile db. | flashheart
28/2/2017 14:18 | The latest from Superdata asserts that the industry as a whole will be worth over $1.13bn by the end of this year, with $839m of that coming via sponsorship and advertising. In terms of locality, Asia represents the biggest piece of pie at $406m with North America close behind at $396m. Europe is picking up the pace but still some way behind at $298m. This is helped in part due to football clubs such as PSG and Schalke getting involved, and the industry picking up in France via Webedia. | doodlebug4
26/2/2017 14:02 | Leap Gaming@Leap_Gam Check out this illuminating article from LegalSportReport, … to learn about the status of virtual sports in the US. | doodlebug4
24/2/2017 16:24 | Just bought 20k shares, hard to resist at this low price. I believe this will come good before long. | bdog51
24/2/2017 14:03 | Bought 10k just now at 10.2p. | rafboy |
