07/3/2017 12:12 | Worth a small punt. let see how it goes. | domple
07/3/2017 11:56 | Finally a bit of blue here, been very depressing and hopefully conclusion to the sale process soon otherwise why invest in another company!!! | joeblogg2
07/3/2017 11:49 | Well the market likes it. | rafboy
07/3/2017 11:35 | Agreed TT, backed up by the fact they sold Satoshi Pay for shares rather than needing cash. | bahiflyer
07/3/2017 11:26 | I think the investment also shows a real confidence in the sale of Schoold and the LEAP IPO | trotterstrading
07/3/2017 11:25 | Good find DB. This is an opportunity grasped by LA and the article reads well I like that they state Ffwd is looking for exitS on existing investments proving flashheart is spot on! I can't find spare cash to add at the moment but it's tempting again! | moormoney
07/3/2017 10:48 | Some relevant info here; | doodlebug4
07/3/2017 09:12 | I for one don't have a problem with the controversial aspect, after all, my pension investments include a lot of IT's that invest in reliable dividend producers e.g. BAT, Imperial Tobacco etc. Every quarter I'm happy to receive the dividends, imho life is full of choices, if you choose to smoke cigs or weed then that's down to you - as I take a small puff on my e-cig :) Just having a quick gander at various articles etc - estimated recreational market for weed in Canada is CAD$10 billion per annum. Canadian market would appear to be 3 to 4 years ahead of the US market, therefore attracting a lot of tier 1 US investors. Current revenue streams between Canada and the US are currently intellectual rights and processes only, direct commodity transactions are prohibited by the various state Federal laws and would make the US investors jittery. One caveat is that while many states in the US are considering legalizing weed and Trump has stated he is not adverse to recreational use, he is surrounded by hard line 'anti crime' individuals whom may take a more confrontational approach to any legalization. IMHO, a good investment - I note that this has now drained the kitty - let's hope we get some news shortly which will boost the war chest for future investments. Cheers | mustardmark
07/3/2017 08:53 | TT, yes can see potentially it is a good investment. The question for me is am I happy being invested in such a company? It has to be a personal decision. Need to do more research on the subject. | rafboy
07/3/2017 08:38 | Raf.. read the RNS again. 'Unprecedented' interest from investors. Late stage discussions for. VERY SIGNIFICANT government incentives. From a business perspective this is a very shrewd investment. Controversial? Yes. We may see some decide to take their money elsewhere but they missing the bigger picture IMHO. It's a plant at the end of the day.. being used to further medicine | trotterstrading
07/3/2017 08:31 | It may prove to be a good investment but I would not have chosen to invest in this company. | rafboy
07/3/2017 08:21 | That's a controversial investment, but I agree with Trotters comments and I've thought for a long time that weed should be legalised for medical purposes. | doodlebug4
07/3/2017 07:52 | I agree with you TT. | moormoney
07/3/2017 07:50 | Very happy with this investment, whatever your views on weed, there is no disputing in has been a massive growth area. There is also a growing body of evidence the active ingredients slow the growth of cancer.Win win. Looks another investment set to double and more in the next 12 months | trotterstrading
07/3/2017 07:43 | Don't like it | 2prsimo
07/3/2017 07:43 | This sounds like an extremely good investment opportunity and I'm pleased that we've been able to get a slice into the Ffwd portfolio. We are surely onto a winner with this one. | bdog51
07/3/2017 01:09 | A new blog from Factom: We have released our first commercial product for the mortgage industry, called Factom Harmony. It is built on the Factom Apollo data management solution and allows users to store and create permanent mortgage records. Harmony works with existing imaging or document management solution to create a secure, transparent, unalterable record for the final loan documents. In short, a perfected digital vault for each loan. It is a new practical and effective deployment of blockchain technology into the mortgage industry. A video about Harmony - More media coverage: Not just in English speaking countries: Good English video in the one above though :-) | lauders
06/3/2017 20:44 | It's good to see that posters like dlku who post on ADVFN with multiple usernames are going to be investigated and held to account by the FCA. Bring it on. | doodlebug4
06/3/2017 01:12 | Certainly hope so DB4! Would be an ideal time for Lorne & Jim to really ramp up the PR and newsflow prior to the Master Investor event. If they can generate a great deal of ineterest ("buzz") before the event it would no doubt do wonders for both the company and investors. As an added bonus it would really stick it to TW who Jim is such good "friends" with LOL! Reminder about Jim and the time he is presenting at the event: JIM MELLON 11:45 – 12:30 Headline speaker Jim Mellon is famous for notching up the biggest ever success on the AIM market with Uramin, the company he co-founded in 2005 with $100,000 and sold in 2007 for $2.5 billion. With a substantial international property portfolio and interests in a variety of companies, particularly in the alternative energy and biotech sectors, Jim is a highly experienced and successful investor whose expert views were closely followed at last year’s Master Investor Show and will undoubtedly draw a large crowd again this year. With 96% of 2014 attendees rating his talk Good or Excellent, he’s sure to draw big crowds again. Come on Jim beat your record :-) | lauders
