Ethereum has had a much closer relationship with Microsoft. In December 2015, the software giant added several Ethereum platform packages for download on Microsoft Azure. Ethereum became on of the cloud platforms staple “Blockchain as a Service” offerings, which they refer to as “ETH BaaS.” Since then, Azure has added many other similar BaaS packages, from blockchain companies including Ripple, Monax, Coinprism, and Factom.

Robin Raskin, who heads the Living in Digital Times center of the show, said augmented reality is catching on with try-and-see beauty apps, in-store virtual mirrors and toys.

Augmented reality, she said, "lets us look at the real world and add valuable, entertaining and immersive information to it."

Analyst Jack Gold at J. Gold Associates said that despite the potential benefits of virtual and augmented reality in business or industry, "gaming is where it is going to take off first," because that's where people are spending money.

"The issue is not whether it has the potential to transform things, but whether you can put it into a space where consumers can afford it and give enough additional information so people are able to use it," Gold said.

Re: the bold part I highlighted...... Perhaps Lorne and team really DO know what they are doing and this will show this year and onwards. We shall soon see. FWIW I am also thinking of at least 100% gain here this year but we just don't know whether it will be this year or longer.

Doodlebug4 I think you are right with your prediction and I will be very disappointed if we are not higher than 20p per share by the end 2017 indeed I think it will happen soone. Our CEO has a big stake in this company and our current market cap of £14 million is not going to excite him at all. He will want to see a naught on that at least. FFWD is searching for the next big thing that is going to cause fireworks in its sector and we have a number of promising irons in the fire with the 2016 investments.
I am anticipating an exciting year.

Good comments 8881CB. It's hard holding when so little is being announced but I'm sure behind the scenes the invested companies are growing strongly. We will get our rewards hopefully in 2017! One thing for certain it's hard to buy many when the share price starts to bounce, but I'm sitting on mine. HNY to everyone.

Technology floats set to snap back into life in 2017 is a headline in today's Times Business section. As many as 45 US technology start ups could stage IPO's in 2017 which is 3 times the 2016 level.
This is clearly a very encouraging environment for FFWD to be operating in and will hopefully involve one or more of our investments. A big win on just one of our investments will do wonders for our share price and put a big smile on all our faces.
The decline in the share price in recent months has been disappointing but it is understandable that investments take time to develop particularly as most are less than a year old.
I think in the last couple of days we have seen the share price bottom and start to move up again. The last fund raising was at 15p and I am sure the investors who committed substantial amounts at that price had every reason to believe there was large upside going forward. I am expecting this to be heading rapidly back to 20p plus once the deals start to be done. I wish I could fast forward to this time next year and have a look at the sp!

I didn't get my 11p but it was very close!
The last trade of the year at 12.25 was the largest of today's trades 150000 share Buy at 10.90p.
I think we will be at 11p when we open in the new year and the rise will then continue based on investment news.

Factom surely has to be the star performer as far as the work ethic and marketing and PR are concerned. The team appear to be working their combined socks off, but at the same time the news on their website and Twitter feed are constantly updated. Top marks all round! It's a pity FFWD only have a 3.64% stake in Factom. Just my view fwiw.

Snap DD4! We think alike. Where is your reply to your questions too? Oh yes it is Xmas and New Year. "We can use that as an excuse". FFWD have a lot to improve on as far as PR goes that is for certain.

If you had said at the end of April that we would be hoping for the share price to reach 11p by the end of the year -------- words nearly fail me. You would hope that the BoD, apart from scratching their heads, have figured out that they need to improve on their basic company PR and administration. The blog on the website hasn't been updated since July and the FFWD twitter feed hasn't been updated since 5th December. I'm on the FFWD mailing list for news and I still haven't got a copy of the half-year results or the latest note from Equity Development in my mail box. With so many excellent investee companies in the FFWD portfolio it's a great pity that the share price has been suffering because the nuts and bolts of running the company have been neglected.

Yesterday we saw some decent volume of 2.8 million including a 1.3 million buy. On 21 Dec we saw 1.8 million but otherwise this month volume has been low often in the 200000 area but as low as 9000. This has kept the share price at a disappointing level.
A month ago we were 10.38 we drifted into the 9's but yesterday's volume moved us in to positive territory at 10.63 and we have ticked up again today.
Let's hope we have seen the bottom and will end 2016 at 11p.

I'm pleased to see Ffwd have bounced off the lows. Now for news to get it going again as it seems big buyers have confidence, maybe time to buy and follow the money. I have quite enough for now though!!
