20/7/2016 23:03 | I think you may have moved the share price Arthur. | hugepants
20/7/2016 15:43 | All good things ... | spob
20/7/2016 08:08 | These are too cheap IMO. By my calculations they have 19p a share in net cash at the current exchange rate as well as other substantial assets. They're operating at close to breakeven. I don't believe this discount will last forever. Arthur | arthur_lame_stocks
11/7/2016 13:41 | Yep the currency boost has gone unnoticed here | spob
11/7/2016 08:19 | NTQ's $15.1m cash pile is now worth around £11.7m, compared to the $7.85m m/cap. Nice 150,000 share buy first thing this morning caused an early tick up. | rivaldo
25/6/2016 08:58 | The drop in the value of the £ is actually good news here. Nearly all NTQs' business is in $ and 98% of its cash is in $. So NAV per share and cash per share has just gone up 5%! It will be a similar situation for many UK listed overseas stocks. | hugepants
23/6/2016 14:28 | Nice summary yesterday of NTQ by a poster on T.M.F: | rivaldo
17/6/2016 20:25 | Very admirable research. | p1nkfish
15/6/2016 15:03 | Results presentation and annual report are now on the site. Looking at the "substantial interests" section of the annual report (page 15) and comparing it with the 1st September listing on the Enteq site, I see that Soros, Prudential/M&G and Ruffer are all now below 4% while Hawkwood (now at 5.205m shares) and Morgan Stanley (3.925m shares) are new additions to the 4%+ list. The news here I think is that Soros has gone below 4% - or has that already been disclosed? According to holdings notices he held some shares directly plus he had a cfd for 3.925m shares (as of 6th July 2015). Now coincidentally (?) Morgan Stanley disclosed a 3.925m shares position as of 26th January 2015 and are now back in the list with the same number of shares. So it looks like Soros has closed/let lapse a CFD with MS, which now has the economic interest in the shares back. | 1gw
15/6/2016 13:44 | Agree this stock is value and now that its been slimmed down hopefully should be very profitable when business improves. No indication though when that will happen. I was a bit concerned they may write down the debtors a bit but that has not occurred. Just had a cursory glance but H2 revenues show a modest increase on H1. And "adjusted loss" in H2 is half of that in H1 which I'm guessing is due to cost-cutting kicking in. | hugepants
15/6/2016 08:03 | Looks like I've got the first 2 trades in today! Hope I haven't misread those results... | 1gw
15/6/2016 07:32 | Admirable management of a downturn, I'd say. $15m cash, $24m net assets, only 21 staff and now the chairman stepping down as well. As long as they still have the capacity to ramp things up when the upturn comes, it does look like a decent position to be in, for a company with a market cap of only about $11m if I have the numbers right. | 1gw
14/6/2016 17:36 | It suggests no news has leaked at least... | 1gw
09/6/2016 13:01 | Miserable volume considering result due. Q. | quidnunc
06/6/2016 14:27 | Results next week. With oil at $50 is the business starting to recover? There's a lot of easy upside given the strength of the balance sheet (ie. 40% upside to cash, 100% upside to NWC). | hugepants
17/5/2016 23:19 | Maybe the overhang is clearing here finally. | hugepants
25/4/2016 21:08 | Hawkwood Deep Value Fund up to 8.5% now. And it looks like M&G Investment Management have sold out. That 4,747,535 trade is their holding. Lets see who bought. | hugepants
25/4/2016 13:44 | Good guess re the inventories EezyMunny | arthur_lame_stocks
21/4/2016 20:50 | management is proven in times like these. they are steering the ship well on behalf of shareholders. | p1nkfish
21/4/2016 12:29 | TU yesterday. Preserving cash (or actually increasing the cash balance) and cutting costs (including reducing the size of the board) while they wait for the turn. Looks like it is being sensibly run. | 1gw
16/4/2016 01:42 | Rig count is on the floor but uptick may be possible. It might have to last a while for cannabikised and mothballed kit to be used up but NTQ are well geared with low overheads should any demand appear. | p1nkfish
02/2/2016 16:24 | Yes and nice rise today. Worst over??? | meijiman
18/11/2015 11:54 | Was just reading up on Hawkwood - interesting players. Agreed with the "below 3%" balls up. It is a pure deep value play at this price. | kemche |
