Ben and Holly's the star of ETO's portfolio as far as I'm concerned - absolutely love it. Far better than that piggy thing. If there's anyone who's never watched it, try Chickens Ride West on Youtube...

Thanks Robbie not sure if sending kids to sleep is ETO's objective with Ben & Holly though.

Yes good range in John Lewis, don't suppose we are the target audience for it, catchy tune though. Either way, can only be earnings accretive as it's still relatively unknown but has the hallmarks of another hit for ETO family, credit where it's due

eOne Grows Peppa Pig North American Licensing Program Sara Alessi 20 hours ago Top Stories NEW YORK: Entertainment One (eOne) has renewed licensees and signed additional partners for Peppa Pig in the U.S. and Canada. eOne secured renewals for Peppa Pig games from TCG and plush Beanie Babies from Ty. In addition, Jazwares will continue its role as the master toy licensee for the property in the U.S. and Canada. New partners coming on board the brand are Cardinal (puzzles and games), Kent International (bicycles and bike helmets/protective gear), Kidz Toyz (musical instruments), Rollplay (battery powered ride-ons), What Kids Want (seasonal novelty toys for the U.S. only) and Wonder Forge (games). “The demand for Peppa Pig merchandise remains strong and growing, and we’re thrilled to partner with these amazing companies to bring more Peppa products to fans throughout the U.S. and Canada,” said Joan Grasso, the VP of licensing for North America at eOne Family. “We’re especially pleased to renew our partnerships with TCG and Ty, which will continue to provide outstanding products that inspire hours of imaginative play. We’re also excited about expanding our roster of partners with best-in-class new licensees that will introduce even more fantastic Peppa products for preschoolers and their families to love.” hxxp://worldscreen.com/tvkids/eone-grows-peppa-pig-north-american-licensing-program/

Interesting rumour but, if true, they would need to be looking a minimum premium of around 15% on todays price, with an initial bid of at least 285p. For a start the current value of its content library was established at $1.5bn last October, which is equivalent to 286p a share and there are excellent prospects of growing both content and earnings strongly over the next two years. The current price of circa 250p is roughly the equivalent of last years high of 360p after taking into account the subsequent dilution from last years rights issue. This is the threshold that ETO needs to make a very sustainable break through in order to really resume an upward growth trajectory for the shareprice. It is also worth remembering that CPPB, the current largest shareholder, has an average share cost of circa 230p after factoring in the subsequent dilution, their take up of the discounted rights issue and some further share purchases that they made at a lower price. In my view, any predator would probably need to provide them with at least a 25% return on their investment in order to tempt them to accept any new offer. This would require a minimum bid to be in the region of 285p.

eOne’s Cardinal a first for BBC4 BBC4 has acquired its first ever Canadian drama, a six-part crime series from eOne Television International. 2nd of March was last years statement so anytime around then would be in the right ballpark Mipp. Although I am not expecting much detail in the market update, it would be nice to have a pointer to how near they are to year end target.

Dont recall an eone series being picked up by the BBC before? "eOne Sells Hit Canadian Series 'Cardinal' Across Europe" "Entertainment One has closed multiple deals across Europe for the Canadian TV series Cardinal, with the BBC picking up the hit crime drama for the U.K. eOne also closed deals for Cardinal with C More in Scandinavia and Calle 13 in Spain." "Cardinal was a ratings hit in its native land, becoming the most-watched debut of any Canadian series in the 2016/17 broadcast season. Its premiere was Canada’s highest rated show of in live + same day viewing and number one its time slot across all key demos." hTTp://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/eone-sells-hit-canadian-series-cardinal-europe-974211
