With the budget good for the oil industry and exploration in the North Sea and to Older fields surely Eneg can seize some sort of initiative How about securing a deal with the WG or someone else. Come on Mr Minty

Agreed viz the Irish Shale

But surely too something must be happening by now with ABTOG and marginal field developments.

And what too of NFL?

Update please Mr Minty

Eneg may be dead in the water, but what of the Irish shale ?

I have always said that it was a valuable asset. First movers eventually reap a golden return.

I -gas was also under fire, until today, when the cavalry arrived.
First mover with the licenses. Just the place to be at the right time.

The longer Minty waits in Newfoundland & Ireland, the more likely it is that technology will come along to unlock the problems.
Here comes the cavalry:

Also:

There are no plans to cut pay but directors remuneration has been and will be deferred.

I asked how much cash was left but was told this was price sensitive. However insufficient to last 12 months and they are looking at ways to remedy this. Encouraged that they say that they have listened to shareholders and dilution (at the current sp) is not the preferred route.

No oil since December update due to 1) a lightning strike and 2) snowed in. Have to confess, I think nf is definitely on the back burner now and they are concentrating on the marginal fields (that's my opinion).

They said they would see me next year at the AGM, so we will see.

I was there along with 2 other shareholders. More positive than I was this morning pre-meet.

Won't be selling my shares for a while as I believe this is the bottom but not confident enough to buy more, so it's a hold from me.

Personally don't think that we have the capital to go alone in NF so hope there will be a partner lined up. Low POO should enable us to pick up some marginal field bargains, seemed confident about fundraising without the need for dilution.

Some other thoughts I have that I will mull over before sharing.

Nice to meet my 2 comrades, I won't name them as they can speak for themselves if they so wish.

Shame, Haydock, I remember you asking about 5 years ago about management plans if oil were to fall back to $50, to which you were given a rather dismissive response from Minty that this would never be an issue. Would have been nice to see you reminding them of this and asking for their thoughts now.

Good luck with the wife.

Is it true that falling oil prices increase the number of marginal fields in play? I suspect so.

Any views?
