09/2/2006 09:49 | just put in a limit order and hopefully you will be filled, made a big mistake yesterday was was able to buy direct from the market maker for 27p, ah well atleast i am in now, things are certainly hotting up. this liquidity problem is certainly going to help this run up. | hassythebeast
09/2/2006 09:37 | did look as it was joining seeing the very small float could go anyway with the liquidity squeze but as been proven can't really get enough stock to profit much | nissi beach
09/2/2006 09:21 | just joined the ekay party, very difficult to get hold of shares, ended up paying 30p. papal how far can you see this running over the next few weeks?? | hassythebeast
09/2/2006 08:50 | Started well today. After yesterday's announcement I just had to make a few more additions. | ged5
09/2/2006 00:11 | Hopefully now we should see a run into the results, give the good side note in the announcement today. | papalpower
08/2/2006 16:39 | ron, a lot depends on Eagle Pool, this is the backbone, if first drills and subseqent drills go to plan, then fine, but its more than just a single drill project. The Glantal gas is blue sky, should not be in the price to any major extent as its very high risk, but if it were to come off then the price would explode. EME, Eagle Pool is lower risk but not earth shattering, only talking a few hundred barrels per day that is shared. So, some risk, some upside potential, thats the way it is with oils. I like some tucked away in oils, but also prefer ones like EKY, solid fundamentals, shelters in a storm, and also with plenty of their own upside as well :) | papalpower
08/2/2006 16:33 | EME- whats your take on them, i like them because of the prospects, and the fact of the few shares in circulation whats your take papal power | ronwilkes123
08/2/2006 16:33 | The other good thing about EKY, being in advertising, they know all about the importance of news flow and saying the right things at the right time, so there is a level of faith in that they will not be slow or shy in getting the good news out I think. | papalpower
08/2/2006 16:26 | Welcome Roy A small point.....you must know these woods backwards. I certainly feel as if I do ! I had contemplated mentioning it to the pub but having been stung once before in suggesting a company that had just listed while the first set of figures were awaited, decided to keep a lid on this one. I was very pleased with todays announcement which confirmed the "hunch" I expressed yesterday evening. Best wishes GHF | glasshalfull
08/2/2006 16:24 | "It had bank balances of £1.7 million at the year end to June 2005" so add into this some more cash for the first 6 months, thats plenty of money to spend on an earnings enhancing acquisition, so perhaps cash and shares then, and a few companies spread over 2006, might we be looking at generating a very much higher earnings figure by year end, on the same basis that SMC has listed and grown ;) | papalpower
08/2/2006 16:19 | ronwilkes, no, I wanted more for top ups elsewhere so sold the last of my EME at 60p some time ago. It may or may not be the right thing to do, its an oiler, so its a 50/50 call. 25Oct, thanks for the link. He forgot to mention the cash in the bank, and EPS should be a lot higher this time around, roll on the 20th :) | papalpower
08/2/2006 16:08 | papal power you still in EME | ronwilkes123
08/2/2006 16:04 | We should be getting some media coverage now, I am sure someone will want to be the first to tip it going forward, although allnewissues.com had it as a buy from IPO. | papalpower
08/2/2006 15:25 | What a nice announcement. "Higher achievement than at any time".............wo | papalpower

08/2/2006 08:48 | And there's the result date as I'm typing - 20th Feb. | ged5
08/2/2006 08:47 | Thanks GHF. I will take a look but I have quite a few positions at the moment where I could take profits but I feel they have a good way to go yet, so cash is a little short. Still half the fun is researching these smaller companies. I also liked EKY because it's quite a while since I had any advertising companies. This is particularly appealing cos of the TV market which as we all know is massive. Should be a good investment. | ged5
07/2/2006 22:59 | GHF, ACC is interesting if a different type of prospect, whereas EKY appears undervalued and growing, ACC has been overvalued and growing, and has now made the transfer to growing faster, and undervalued, the key transistion point from growing to having grown and growing more has been made, and should be confirmed in full at the results this month. Going to be an exciting rest of Feb with results from EKY, then should be ACC and also LEAD. | papalpower
07/2/2006 22:43 | Hi Ged Yep, PP's threads all always well considered propositions. I'm with you in this one in only buying a small amount so far - 10k. The illiquidity is such that I've dealt via the phone on both occasions. I'm always wary of poor liquidity with the obvious downside that should results be poor (not that I'm expecting it) then it would be hard to exit at a decent price. Conversely there is the possibility that these could rise very fast on any buying volume. There has been a steady stream of buying since listing with a further 3 buys today. I agree with PP in that I also have a hunch that the interims will be good. The company listed on 5/1/06, so would have been well aware of the forthcoming figures and also "...client billings for the first quarter has been the highest since the company's incorporation" which suggests to me that the impressive organic growth during the last 3 years is continuing. I wish you the best of luck with this investment. Have you taken a look at Access Intelligence (ACC), where PP has initiated a very informative thread ? I've conducted my usual comprehensive research and feel it significantly undervalued although far more volatile than EKY. Results also out this month with a positive trading update in Dec. Provides a very good risk/reward opportunity IMO. Be interested to hear your views either way. Kind Regards GHF | glasshalfull
07/2/2006 22:42 | Thats my plan here too Ged, slowely build a holding up, with a few bought here and there over time, seeing how progress goes. | papalpower
07/2/2006 16:43 | Sorry, can't help you there. I tried to buy different amounts but had to keep on reducing the size. I got down to 1000/1500 can't remember which and got fed up when it wouldn't let me buy. So I left the market size to be filled at 25p. It was filled at 24.5p Just a few to get me started. May top up after results if they don't spike up too far. | ged5
07/2/2006 16:27 | Ged, I hope I am right too :) What are the on line buy/sell limits now, for info....... ? | papalpower
07/2/2006 16:17 | Thanks. I found them difficult to buy online considering it was the market size and had to leave a limit order. Hope your right about the interims. | ged5
07/2/2006 16:13 | Its good to see you here Ged, it is an attractive small company, thats doing the right things and set to grow. I have a sneaky feeling those interims will be excellent, but we shall have to wait and see, but I could not resist a few more into the holding pot before they come out. | papalpower |
