The rules are that interims must be reported withing 3 months of the finish of the financial half year, and that prelims must be reported within 6 months of the end of the financial year.

EKY goes on a 1st July start of the financial year, and 30th June end of it.

Therefore results MUST be prior to Dec 31st.......however, I would expect them in November myself.

(i have posted this on iii as well but as there is less activity on that board i thought i'd have more chance of a reply here)

Does anyone know if there are rules regarding the announcment of results? The last official announcement stated 'early September'. Surely they cannot be indefinitely delayed without some sort of official explanation?

I don't know whether to be very worried or very optimistic about the reason for the delay......

Trading Update

Ekay PLC, ("Ekay" or the "Company") the full service advertising agency,
announces an update on trading following the year end of 30th June 2006.

The positive trend as outlined in the Company's Interim Results statement has
continued into the second half of the year. Preliminary results, which will be
announced in early September, will report an excellent year of trading, with
turnover considerably higher than in the preceding year. Accordingly, profits
will be in line with the expectations set at the time of the Company's
admission to AIM in January 2006.

Ekay's infrastructure has been strengthened through additional staff
appointments across all areas of the business and the Company is well placed to
build on its position in providing a first class client service. The client
base has expanded during the period with diversification into a wider range of
industrial groups. This, together with possible earnings enhancing
acquisitions, will lead to continued growth in 2007 and improved quality of
long term earnings.

The Directors and staff were gratified and proud to win the company of the year
award against 33 other nominations at the recent Kent business awards, thus
bringing a fitting conclusion to an exciting year.

The spike up yesterday was nothing but pure speculation rcktmn. These could fall away again. Like ive said though you can benefit from the fall by just going short.......... and then long again when the MMs are off guard. Easy money with an iliquid one like this.

Interesting... the bettng must be that, if there is no good news released quickly, it's likely that the share price will fall away again - like last time..
but I'm going to keep holding as, as PP mentions above, news /aquisition must be due. it's just as likely there is a good reason for the sudden hike in the share price Exciting isn't it ?!

Badly at the moment PT, but dont forget last time when it spiked it soon fell away so I wouldnt be too overconfident. Anyway Im just pointing out a win/win situation and I think PP realises that from the tone of his reply.

A few sells this morning, but the price is up again on the bid, could it be that they have started on the acquisiton trail and some news is due ??? I do not know, but interesting to watch it.

hedge, saying you think there is nothing behind the rise and you might take a short position, nothing wrong with that, its a two way market as always, up and down, down and up :)

Looks like a candidate again for shorting back down again. (nothing against you sincerely PP ). The rise as been based on nothing more than market manouvering.

Should get the same decrease tomorrow if traders are swiched on.

Those that took it up should take it back down again and make another quick bundle.
