05/11/2013 07:52 | Cheers that confirms it then, EPY share price is tracking the GHL share price ...can we get a chart for GHL in the header? | monkey puzzle
05/11/2013 07:44 | Surely EPH share price is now just linked to that of GHL What currency are GHL shares valued in? Ringit? 3 to the AUD? whatever GHL does EPH is going to do. GHL 0.735 = .244 AUD according to the offer 1 EPY = 2.75 so .244 * 2.75 = 0.67 AUD which is about the EPY current share price | pomp circumstance
04/11/2013 22:05 | Mr Loh could be using his special dividend to buy more. | exile
04/11/2013 19:47 | Great research, goes a long way to explaining the rise in EPY. Well done and many thanks for sharing. Looks like a no brainer to to take the shares then instead of the 40c on offer...of course we still have some time to go so will be very interesting to see what happens by Jan. Thanks again for the info, advfn at is better here and a lot better than most threads where posters seem more inclined to score points rather than help each other. Can't quite believe the change in EPY from just 13c when you started this thread! | monkey puzzle
04/11/2013 17:30 | I think there will be an announcement tonight. I think the claim over on HC was not the whole of the story, this was that holders in the bidder GHL were selling to buy EPY shares so that they could get the shares in GHL cheap at the completion of the deal. That comment stank IMHO. The question has to be asked however what is happening to GHL's share price at the present time? Possibly they are subject to takeover speculation? GHL's last share price movement was a rise of 17% GHLSYS (0021) STOCK QUOTES Last 0.860 Change 0.125 Change (%) 17.01 Open 0.740 High 0.880 Low 0.740 Volume 29,212,200 (Quotes Last Updated: 04/11/2013 17:57) Latest News 04 Nov 2013 The Edge Payment System Counters Start To Stir 01 Nov 2013 Business Times IT Firms Stand To Win From GST 30 Oct 2013 The Edge Financial Daily Share Prices Of Potential GST Beneficiaries Climb 12 Oct 2013 The Star GHL Back On Growth Path 09 Oct 2013 NanYang 南洋 .................... 04/11/2013 17:14 | I am amazed that the ASX haven't ordered a statement from EPY on today's 35% rise....not like them to let it go without issuing a speeding ticket. There has to be someone behind the rise from 40c, question is who? | monkey puzzle
04/11/2013 17:09 | Volumes very strong IMHO, $AU200,000 through. Expect an announcement shortly, we may have a bidding war. | freddie ferret
04/11/2013 10:28 | Either there is a shorter in serious trouble or there is a concerted attempt to stop Loh getting absolute control (e.g. more than 75%?). The question is whether to take the current offer and run or wait to find out where it's going... and why? | boadicea
04/11/2013 09:30 | Wow!!!! Does this mean we are still getting only 40 cents for them ??? Shirley not! | exile
04/11/2013 04:52 | OMG!!!!!!!! +++++35% 0.65c the bid and 0.69c the ask!!! No official announcements but surely the rise today must force the company to issue something to explain this price movement or the share will be suspended by the ASX exchange? | monkey puzzle
02/11/2013 17:06 | Must be Loh and his associates building their holdings to ensure they get the offer through, no one would be paying such a premium with the 40c offer... | monkey puzzle
02/11/2013 16:09 | Big volumes going through. | freddie ferret
02/11/2013 15:24 | Ummm! I'm beginning to like this man Loh. | freddie ferret
01/11/2013 07:35 | Just shot through 0.5.....!!!! | monkey puzzle
31/10/2013 18:57 | Strengthening on good volume and small spread. Either speculative buying or expect an announcement shortly. | freddie ferret
28/10/2013 17:43 | I will try and find out. | freddie ferret
28/10/2013 10:57 | Is it possible that a major holder is adding to their holdings before declaring their intentions here? Could it be Loh adding to ensure he gets the bid through or another larger holder? | monkey puzzle
28/10/2013 10:55 | Volume is amazing....not sure why yet though as the terms of the offer are clear enough..0.40c per share unless a higher offer appears.....a few gambling on a higher offer perhaps unless there is one out there already? | monkey puzzle
28/10/2013 10:53 | Volume for this month looks liveley. | exile
17/10/2013 17:38 | We live in hope. | freddie ferret
17/10/2013 15:50 | No big deal...the share price will be underpinned by the offer...I still expect the deal will be completed at 0.40c in January and my cheque will be posted to me in due course after that and then I'm done and dusted as far as EPY is concerned. | monkey puzzle
17/10/2013 15:48 | This has slipped a bit. | freddie ferret
10/10/2013 13:22 | So you like the site then? | monkey puzzle
10/10/2013 13:22 | PROPOSED SHARE ISSUANCE On 4 October 2013, the Company entered into a share subscription agreement ("SSA") with Cycas for the proposed issuance and allotment of up to 89,000,000 new GHL Shares at an Issue Price of RM0.42 per GHL Share ("New Issue Share(s)"), to be satisfied in cash for the purpose of part financing the Proposed Acquisition. 10/10/2013 13:19 | RATIONALE FOR THE PROPOSALS The Proposed Acquisition is in line with the Group's plan to expand its electronic payment business. The EPY Group is one of Asia's largest regional electronic payment networks consisting of 18,000 points of sale that can accept cash payments for pre-paid mobile, reload, bills payment and process debit and credit card transactions. Pursuant to the Proposed Acquisition, the enlarged Group should have an EDC terminal network of about 60,000 terminals in Malaysia alone. GHL believes that the Proposed Acquisition will open up opportunities for the Group to increase revenue through the cross-selling of products and services both in Malaysia as well as regionally. The Proposed Exemption will enable Simon Loh to accept the Offer and receive GHL Shares as consideration for his shares in EPY without incurring the obligation to extend a general offer for the remaining shares in GHL not already owned by him. This reduces GHL's cash outlay required for the Proposed Acquisition. The Proposed Share Issuance is to raise funds to part finance the Proposed Acquisition. The Proposed Share Issuance will also increase the capital base of GHL. | freddie ferret |
