15/2/2017 15:32 | opps..maybe it was better stuck at 310p? So now, as it seems any thing, and anything does, it simply throws away 2% of its value in an hour... crazy times.. One day knocking on the door of 315p..the next day peering over the cliff at 300p, desperately clinging to 306p What has changed??...only the bots | smartypants

07/2/2017 07:39 | Directors get awarded such cheap or free shares they make a good profit selling at any price. Then they get awarded more free or cheap shares. They can't lose and the selling price is not that relevant. | mikepompeyfan
06/2/2017 23:47 | Non exe. director bought 16,653 shares at 298p but 4 directors sold total 724,500 shares at 315p. Can't understand why are they selling while the price was so low??!! | thaiger
06/2/2017 16:23 | So the sudden rise is as daft as the unexplained fall ? Are we to put it down to a purchase of 16 and a half thou shares ? | smartypants
06/2/2017 10:27 | tim 3 You are talking of "profits, margins, performance" I am saying non of that maters, the share price movement is totally disconnected Some crook/genius has programed some target price in to some program and the share price will go to where they have decided, it is that simple Its a guessing game what that number is ? Down 3% in 2 hours...no news...no new news I happen to disagree with the point you make about profit I would argue that being able to squeeze profit out of other parts of your business, warrantee, service etc, is a positive for your business, as not solely dependent on product sales and margins, isn't that why they have the business adons Profit is profit | smartypants
06/2/2017 10:13 | The shocking thing, if it still is shocking any more...is that any and every stock is treated in the same fraudulent way, and the "market" knows that they/you/I can see it is being hammered, so even though ever broker/annalist listed shows this stock as a buy or strong buy, no one in there right mind will buy when the share price is being manipulated in such plain view Shoot first ask questions later, seems to be the theme, in that know one can fathom or understand why this stock are any other stock is moving in the way it is...but after the dust has settled, some bright spark will conjure up some half plausible reason.... err..Brexit? well yes could be, I mean the management had no Idea Brexit was going to happen 2 weeks ago ?? It is a corrupt market | smartypants
06/2/2017 09:58 | My point is I don't think the increase in profits will come from increasing product prices to customers but from services, mobile contracts ect. I do think long term these are good value here. | tim 3
06/2/2017 09:40 | hmmmmm tim 3 So the Christmas trading update ?? just disregard it??..all lies ?? "we anticipate a meaningful uplift in year-on-year profitability" "I am pleased to be reporting another good Christmas period of growth - our fifth consecutive year. At a time of significant political uncertainty around the world, it was heartening to see that customers were choosing to enjoy the benefits that new technologies could bring to their lives during this holiday season. This year, as a result of our scale in all of our markets, we were able to offer prices that were truly ground-breaking during both our Black Friday week and our annual Boxing Day week sales - while maintaining margins - and we believe that we have outperformed the market during the period. As a result, and despite the fact that there is quite a bit of the year to go, we anticipate a meaningful uplift in year-on-year profitability this year over last and confirm our outlook in line with market consensus at GBP475m-GBP495m of headline profit before tax for the year ending 29 April 2017. SP was around 350p at that time... that time being 2 weeks ago ?? Thrown away over 50p off the share price under 300p and still heading south at a rate of knots ?? Just crooks at work filling there (Banks) pockets...it is a sham | smartypants
06/2/2017 09:35 | At this price and with current exchange rates dc. Is cheap for a foreign buyer. | mikepompeyfan
06/2/2017 08:54 | wow sub 3 quid again. Might want to re visit post Brexit lows. Recent director sales are a little worrying. Seb sold 302,000 shares a few days ago. | tim 3
04/2/2017 15:07 | It will be very difficult if not impossible to pass on the price increase to customers without losing sales. Their business is incredibly competitive nearly everyone checks the net ect before buying. As they have said more and more of their sales come from promotions black Friday ect. Basically for many years now they desperately try to squeeze margin out of every product line they sell if they could get away with selling for more they would. If they increase prices sales will fall simple as that as consumers buy from the competition UNLESS of course amazon and the like increase their prices too which is unlikely. The only way they will maintain/improve margin is to sell more services/contracts/a I still think the fall is overdone though. | tim 3
04/2/2017 14:37 | Compared to other retailers, dc. should be relatively less negatively impacted by Brexit as it has a large international operation as well as better market position to pass on price increases due to sterling weakness? On a prospective pe of less than 10 the market seems to have been over bearish. | riskvsreward |
