tehart - It is what it is, pretty much a done deal at 75p, personal view 'very happy' - have mentally moved on now, to the next one. My SIPP alone bought 100k at 25p earlier in the year and auto-sold this morning at nearly 69p, nice tax-free gain. my other holdings here will all await the 75p that's now coming. final final thought, sometimes you get what you pay for. Well done to Richard Horsman and Co. they drove this company up (through some quite unprecedented and horrendous market & sector conditions) and they've made me money. Now, that's why I was here in the first place. Job done. Very pleased for all others who have made something and also for those whose out-turn has become (shall we say) 'damage limited'. steve

You can research as much as you like ,but when other people in power can manipulate any situation, your research is largely irrelevent.
When the CYBIT board do not give out the half yearly results ,before announcing the takeover ,then you know its all dodgy ,and the deal was probably agreed months ago .
At this present offer price of c£20m ,I would think someone like the Post office would be able to offer a higher price for the co . It would be a very good fit with their business model , that of a service provider .
Would not be at all surprised to hear The Royal Mail announcing buying Cybit for £100m , after the small shareholders have been evicted of course !!

I've sold at 69p simply because I have made a healthy return and want to move my money on and not wait until January. I hope to make more than 10% between now and then ;-)

Well done all of those that hung on for the rise. I have been looking in from time to time and the progress has been great but the share price has been very depressing. My ex cybit money has been working hard on the gold market, I did not have the patience to sit it out here. I guess this is a result although not what the long termers were looking for. Good luck all.

So why are people selling today at 67p ?

There is still a small risk, however slight, that it might not go through ?? Money in the hand etc ...

1 for 50 is not so bad..at least i will get 3900......I am out of the UK for another month but I am sure this will take time and maybe still another bid may be around the corner yet. I hold certificates on these and not in crest.

no pleasing some people .....

So why are people selling today at 67p ?
Why not wait until early next year and get an extra 8p /share ?
That alone represents 22% on yestedays close.

Any thoughts from the regulars here ?

I cannot remember the consolidation.....if it was 1 for 100 or different? If one for 100 it would mean I paid like 300 pence a share......

If you have held since float it is not so good. The market as a whole has been against you. I sold all my holdings in July 07 as the market started to tank and only started buyng in January this year. That, in the world of hindsight, would have helped a lot.

....and they're both not wrong, it seems. in fact, how did 'some of us' get it so very badly right?? there's the rub. Artemis and Billam - wherefore art thow, now?? On the other hand, ISpartners and L&G and Slater - very well done indeed! people, this is my last post on here, some quite serious CGT planning beckons. another day, another problem. very well done to all 'long term' holders and sufferers. sd - maybe a day for some house-hunting? just a thought....steve

I would guess the options might crystallise in the event of a takeover. A nice payday for their shares.

RNS states; "fully diluted for the exercise of ALL options under the Cybit Sgare Option Schemes)

Pretty much sums up UK PLC then - sell it off and avoid the hassle of trying to grow a sustainable business.

Why wait 5 years for a bigger piece of the cake when you can cash in now for a lot less.

I am averaging around 45p and have held for around 2 years, so can't really complain but I do think they have got it very cheaply ... but then as they say in the RNS, "would take MUCH longer to achieve as a listed company".

75p?

hardly big biscuits compared to even 50p in the near past.

Again the directors sort themselves out.

From my perspective 75p does not reflect the true current or future potential value of this company. The directors must be getting more than just the 75p a share, in other ways. This is the wrong time to sell up.

Could do with a bidding war as the company is worth a lot more than 75 pence a share................
