Hi nepoleon apart from selling the share on to someone else at hopefully a higher price, where is the attraction with buying into this company? If it was going to make a profit let alone pay a dividend wouldn't it have done it sometime in the last 5 years? Yes the sector is "hot" however buying anything in this sector which is actually any good seems rather problematic.

"It is a durable space for the next five years."Large service providers have a protracted validation and testing cycle that might take 12-18 months," said Stephenson. "But we are hopeful we will have something in the next few months."Complete article:http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/115931/corero-network-security-chief-our-market-is-hot-and-only-getting-hotter--115931.html

New partnership:

Dated 01.10.2015

Alpha Generation Distribution Partners with Corero to Further Drive Real-Time DDoS Protection into the UK Market:

Alpha Generation will bring Corero’s award-winning SmartWall® Threat Defense System (TDS) to the UK reseller channel.
NOTTINGHAM, UK (PRWEB UK) 1 OCTOBER 2015
Proactive IT security distributor Alpha Generation Distribution has announced a new partnership with Corero, a leader in Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) detection and mitigation solutions.
As the DDoS threat landscape continues to evolve and become more complex, Alpha Generation believes that Corero offers industry changing protection for the modern day organisation.
“We’re pleased to announce our new partnership with Corero,” says Chris Walsh, Sales Director at Alpha Generation Distribution. “The Company’s technology provides a first line of defence for what is a growing problem for every business. We have seen a shift in the nature and scale of DDoS attacks – and their targets – and our key partners agree. Now is the right time for a DDoS protection solution that provides sophisticated mitigation techniques, enhanced visibility analytics and reporting, at an extremely competitive price point.”
The need for purpose-built, real-time DDoS mitigation with limitless scalability has been driven, by increasingly sophisticated and frequently occurring DDoS attacks. Internet service providers, hosting providers and the online enterprise are taking a more proactive approach to proper DDoS detection and mitigation.
“The threat of a DDoS attack is something that organisations across all industries need to be aware of,” adds Walsh. “As a result, there is huge demand in the UK channel for appliances like Corero’s – capable of mitigating the full range of DDoS attack vectors, yet economically scalable.”
Rob Swainson, Sales Director at Blue Cube Security said, “Corero’s unique approach to DDoS mitigation enables organisations to deliver that essential first line of defence against DDoS attacks for themselves as well as their customers.
"We have a solid historical relationship with Corero and a strong partnership with Alpha Generation. This is an excellent opportunity for Blue Cube to continue to support existing customers, and add additional value to our portfolio.”

Half Yearly Report
-- SmartWall TDS trials in progress with three of the top 10 US Internet service providers.

Ashley Stephenson, CEO of Corero, commented: "We are now engaged in multiple trials with an increasing number of the world's largest service providers and are encouraged by the significant market opportunity these companies represent, whilst recognising the impact of longer sales cycles in this particular vertical.
We believe many of these service providers will see the value of the Corero approach to DDoS protection.

Still loosing money, but looks/reads like some of the worlds major Service Providers are seriously interested in the Corero DDos mitigation technology.
Worth reading the report

Must admit I was caught out there with the £5m fundraising at 10p per share.Disapointed with the slow industry adoption of the Cerero DDOS mitigation solutions. Although Corero were quite bullish im their Trading Update in their future expectations of the business and went on to forecast that the money raised would last until breakeven/profit as from 2016.Still think Corero are in the right sector with the right product offering for 2015/16.

Raysor,

After the $7.1m share placing -
Cash on the books $6m (£3.85m) at 31 December 2015 - Taken from the Annual Results ending 31 December 2014.

So wouldn't expect any need for a fund raising, at least not yet.
