News out "actively pursuing", should be 7 days.

The latest RNS from Anson on 14th June said "The Redemption Proceeds payable to Shareholders are expected to be paid within 7 business days and are to be paid to all Shareholders by cheque..."

Probably just "stuck in the post"!

Called them yesterday - waiting for money to arrive at trustee - was paid by cheque (same old same old)

I seem to remember when I first bought this from the open offer, being shocked at the huge payment made to Close, £4m ? perhaps, it's a long time past.

Just generally felt, although I did well here when I bought more @ 60/70p, it must be a wonderful job being a fund manager/ director of this cash cow, & no doubt many more.

Nice work if you can get it.

Really not a stellar performer & more risky than it should have been with the banks.

OK made the call erstwhile.
(asked under what terms they are witholding - apparently full prospectus says management discretion on final payout amount (!) )
She will pass on the concern to the fund manager.
I only have a small position so not material for me but don't like the principle.

Out of interest, what was the last monthly number, on 31 May 2013?
(I was hoping for circa 141p payout, I assume the last number dragged it down?)

Close Enhanced Commodities Fund II Limited (the "Company")

REDEMPTION AND CANCELLATION

In accordance with the Company's Investment Objective and Policy as outlined in the Company's Prospectus issued 11 May 2007, the Company's Participating Shares are due to be redeemed on or around 14 June 2013.

The listing of the Company Participating Shares on the Official List and admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange plc's main market for listed securities is expected to be suspended from 7.30 a.m. on 3 June 2013, with the last day of trading being on 31 May 2013. Redemption proceeds are expected to be paid to shareholders on or around 17 June 2013, following which, the Company's Participating Shares will be removed from the Official List. The expected date of cancellation of the listing on the Official List and the admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange plc's main market for listed securities of the Company's Participating Shares will be 1 July 2013.

Redemption proceeds will be paid to all shareholders by cheque, made payable to the relevant holder or in the case of joint holders to such relevant joint holders and sent at the risk of the holder(s) to the address of the holder, or first named joint holder, as such appears in the Company's Register of Members. If an alternative method of payment (at the expense of the holder(s)) is desired, written notice of such alternative method from the registered holder(s) must be received by the Company's Registrar and Paying Agent, Anson Registrars Limited, no later than Noon on 31 May 2013. Ok...so I called and asked.

There is one further pricing point at end May and a meeting set for Mid-June to rubber stamp payout (bonds redeem 14th June). Payout should be before end June.
