erstwhile - it says 12 months prior to 31st May, which suggests last pricing point was April. I must admit I thought last point was 31st May but I was pulled up on it....

...what do you think?

Has anyone any info on how soon after the end of the month we will get the redemption money?

Praipus - thanks....it's badly worded but I presume my mistake is that the final date is April and not May?

I stand corrected, during the period I had this fund I always thought that was a notional fig.

Clearly not, so I have not lost a lot in selling for cap gains.
Especially as I added to my original £1, when the price fell in 2008/9, as I saw it as a lot less risky than it actually was !

Cheers Hay.

Smarm.
Many thanks for your opinion.
I thought it paid on the NAV X2 of the fund ?

The last stated fig was 143p

It could be nearer 186p.
Perhaps I am still barking up the wrong tree, not for the first time.

Can somebody state the correct estimate one way or the other please ?

Remember it pays an average of closing price end each month for last 12 months, so if take 2p off for each of April and May then final payout around 141p.

The payout is currently 145, not 186.

hmmm...Lloyds...HBOS.. RBS...Northen Rock...Cyprus:)

I was thinking beyond CED2 June and in a genral European sense.

Or are you saying the price of insurance in this instance has future Eropean bank default in the premium already??????

If I was a hedge fund I'd be buying bucket loads of protection on bank debt.

Two speed world...

I dont suppose it's possible to see who the significant holders of the debt and their CDS are? In a way makes you realise how beautifully transparent a lot of the equity world is, surey all other debt instruments should be treated the same way.....sorry rambling.
