Market makers moving price to generate trades. It will be back to 340p within 2 weeks, as nothing has happened, IMHO

Ron, Mitzis

Popped into the York restaurant yesterday with my sons at 2.30pm
Was very impressed. Slick modern design, oak floors and tables, wooden french doors onto the pavement, steel counter, steel/wood staircase to first floor with glass sides etc and those retro vw prints on the walls etc Very welcoming staff ( english by the way ) all wearing the black GBK t-shirts etc. The waitress seated us and took our drinks order ( doh! I forgot to order a lime milkshake! ) then we perused the menus before ordering at the counter - I think this innovative idea works very well, as it cuts out any waiting for the waitress, either to take your food order or to bring the bill at the end. I had the Avocado and Bacon and was presented with a 6" tall burger shortly afterwards(!) whilst the boys had the Junior beef burger with cheese and tomato with a portion of chips on the side. 'Best burgers we had ever had' and I almost managed to finish mine! The layout was 12 tables ( of 4 and 2 ) in front, bar/kitchen in centre, more tables at the back, all well lit by large windows, counter bar and stools down the side, about 15 tables upstairs. All very Pizza Express and as I said very impressive, oh and by the way it was nearly full. Will be checking out the Leeds restaurant when it opens shortly. Anyway I just added 5,000 and 2,500 shares this morning!

York outlet opened at noon today...walked past and every table was taken.

Will probs eat there next week....location is very good in that throughout the day there will always be a mixture of tourists, office workers and revellers wandering past......so I don't see it being busy only at night or on weekends.

I dont think you will lose money if you bought at 295p Ron I believe theres more growth to come over the next 5 years when they will be trading at 500p plus.

I would agree that CPH is on a growth pattern and I hold 2000 at 295p where in CARL I hold 1700 at 184p, so I have invested twice as much in CPH. The business of CARL is slower growth but maybe long term. It will probaby get taken over in the future so as to roll out much quicker than the current management is doing. No stock is a no brainer. IMHO.

Carluccios could not open at the pace of CPH without debt, cosequently if you are looking for growth you can't beat CPH at the moment rolling out > 20 units pa. Plus David Page has done it before. CPH is an absolute no brainer IMHO

Carluccios has no debt and funding a min of 5 openings a year from cash flow. Directors hold 16.8% so are committed. CPH has net gearing of 19.3% and directors 4% which is mainly David Page s holding. I hold both shares and believe CPH has momentum on its side but feel that Carl is a better long term business.

Numis 465 target seems reasonable, given that Dominoes and Carluccios are on forward pe's of over 25. I'm in.
