Many thanks, Biggles.

Yes, that was my trade. Not even the Stock Exchange site was listed. I'll add Plus to my list of research tools and check it every day.

For those that haven't checked Plus at:

there were four trades:

The sale of 1,500 that's shown everywhere.

My 'buy' at 10:32 of 2,254 at 78.5p.

At 11:15, a sale of 3,569 at 76.5p.

And another buy at 12:09 of 126 at 78.5p - lucky lad!

Today, Plus is showing a sale at 16:07 of 2,705 at 77.38p

But appears to have missed the 10,000 bought at 16:17 at 79p, perhaps we'll see it tomorrow.

GingerPlant

I see them as a takeover at £2.00 to £2.50 given the current net value, which can only rise.

Meict, if your small parcel was 2,254 at 10:32, it's showing on Plus (like the majority of trades these days are seeming to).

I'm in and have been for a long time, buying on weakness now and again - thankfully topping up at sub 40p in March. To my mind, they're an obvious takoever target and I've always presumed that was the agenda.

yep, in a bit of a sweet spot this year with the World Cup. I think most punters have missed the cashflow angle myself but thatwill be highlighted in the next results imo.

On the verge of breaking through the Aug 08 resistance.

They can undoubtedly buy a couple of pubs a year from the cash they are generating.

The Wishing Well will be trading in February and we have the Word Cup starting in June, this should boost sales somewhat. Turnover should be £21+ million by 31 March 2010.

Whilst turnover for the year ending 31 March 2011 is impossible to prophesy I can't see it being less than £25 million whilst the figure that I have in my head is £30 million.

I won't be surprised if the share price is around £1 by the end of March.

Expect an upwards move shortly following this purchase.

In total there were buy trades of 37,500 and a sell trade of 11, yes eleven!

No such thing as a free lunch but worth a try if nearby to the venue. Meanwhile increase in share price will provide me with a free lunch anywhere.

Are all shareholders entitled to go to the 'promised January lunch at the Ladbroke Arms'? if so, which day is it?

Breaking out here.

These were 160p just 15 months ago - reckon they could easily get back there myself, over a 12 month view.

John Lee been buying:-

The Capital Pub Company operates 25-plus high-quality, predominantly freehold pubs in London, which are "securely financed and highly cash generative". I bought at 70p – half net asset value – and look forward to a promised January lunch at the Ladbroke Arms!

Bought in today - very good interims and that director buying looks confident imo.

A good bit of Director buying today:-

Clive Watson 25,000 @ 66.5p

James Bruxner 7,200 @ 66.0p

Bruxners Missus 7,200 @ 66.0p

...seems to be one pub co. that's doing well.

I wonder if the company will be interested in picking up any of the Pubs n Bars estate that has just gone down the tubes?

Might be a few bargains on offer from the receivers.

Yes good results and the outlook seemingly quite rosy.

The Uplands acquisition hadn't previously been announced and it looks as though a few more one off acquisitions are on the cards which should help buying power and spread the overheads.

A div would be excellent news.

A bit of press:-

"We've spent the last 15 to 18 months battening down the hatches. Now it's time to let out a bit of sail," he said.

Franchised food operations have been put into six of the group's pubs, a move designed to both improve the food offer available and to drive wet sales, he added.
