06/11/2014 10:39 | They may do 100p - very low p/e around 5. Maybe there's a seller about. They just got 858k for selling freehold site. | aishah
06/11/2014 09:47 | the last results produced a 72p rise so fingers crossed. | manrobert
06/11/2014 09:41 | Agree with post above. Better than expected car reg figures for October and first time since 2007 that YTD sales to Oct have passed 2m mark. And yet CFYN share price below net asset per share value (which includes freeholds at cost rather than higher market value figure)! | prop_joe
05/11/2014 17:56 | Not for the first second or third time.....so actually lets start again!! For the umpteenth time scratching my head in amazement at the ridiculously cheap price here.....the whole sector seems very cheap to me and CFYN so much cheaper than the rest..... Very frustrated.....finge | jaf111
05/11/2014 15:57 | unusual price reaction to 3 1000 buys? | manrobert

10/10/2014 10:57 | I have added to my holding this week. The share price is significantly below net asset value and their freehold properties have been valued at well above their balance sheet value. Given that they are profitable and the UK car market is still growing nicely (although I expect growth will plateau sooner or later) I believe it is significantly undervalued. The share price says that other people disagree with me but that is what makes a market! | prop_joe
10/10/2014 09:06 | market makers cant get these shares down quick enough. | manrobert
06/10/2014 18:28 | Interesting reaction to the release of September car sales numbers up 9.1% on the same period last year. Strongest September in ten years bodes well, but warning that market was coming off the boil. Fleet and business sales look like the next opportunity. Intra-day reversal seems to have come on the back of two 3000 sales at 510p early doors providing a buying opportunity maybe. Buyers of VTU have seen the opportunity with their price up 5% today in anticipation of interims due in nine days. Should provide an indicator. Interims at CFYN not due until end of November | lanzarote666
06/10/2014 10:26 | Wow, this is trading more and more below TBV. | shanklin
06/10/2014 08:16 | I believe in the past they have done share buy backs | manrobert
30/9/2014 17:24 | corbeta. "I would have thought the directors are getting hacked off with the share price ..." Would you be hacked off if you worked for a business that made an annual profit from continuing operations of £1.4 million and you received a salary and bonus of £0.5 million? (That £0.5 million remuneration was Simon Caffyn's - see 2014 annual report.) FWIW, I can't see there ever being a takeover here. How many ordinaries do the family hold? 490,000? So a takeover at say a 50% premium would give them a gain of maybe £1.5 million? If I were one of the family, I'd prefer the status quo. Turkeys will vote for Christmas before this one gets taken over. | ed 123
30/9/2014 11:40 | I would have thought the directors are getting hacked off with the share price - IIRC one director bought at 630p back in the summer. | corbeta |
