As long as you didn't buy with a ten minute perspective, you ll be ok. I was cursing having sold out of glencore as it kept on rising.... Some you win, some you lose but generally we all win if we can hold longer than the market takes to completely flip it's opinion of what something is worth. Be patient blippy and either add on weakness or move into your next target share.

Mining Index down over 10% today. This is getting silly. It's just computers playing games with each other. In recent weeks, NAV has always been out of date when it is published less than 24 hours later!

Miners currently up 3.6% so, even after this fternoon's rise, the discount is still probably just shy of 15%.

Surprised this mutt was only up 5%. Some huge rises in the main portfolio holdings today;

BHP Billiton +9%
Lundin +8%
First Quantum +10%
Glencore +12%
Rio +6%

Yesterday's NAV was 251p. The Mining Index is up nearly 5% today so NAV shoudl be 260-265p so discount is around 15% despite the recent sharp rise.

Average discount on last 12 months was a little over 11% so currently discount is > than the average

Thanks SF - on the basis that things seem at last to be moving in the right direction and sentiment swinging (from, lets face it, a very very low ebb), BRWM presents a good place to be as of now IMHO so bought some yesterday.

GL if you hold too.

A), Don't know abt 'normally', but B), certainly the latter would be a big factor currently. imo

Sorry for the ignorant question, but does this normally trade significantly below NAV - or is it just that Mining Sector is still considered out of favour?

If Brexit were to happen, it would be great for UK listed entities earning in dollars. I wonder what most companies earn that BRWM holds?

Grasping at straws there I d say.
