Interims out:

Net cash = 2.2p
NTAV = 2.38p

Cash burn is ZERO ie. interest covers running costs.

At 1.8p to buy its a a bit of a free lunch albeit with limited upside unless they make some clever investments.

agree topvest they are not in this one for the bio stuff was just thinking /hoping it might give the company a chance to sell on biovex or even reverse it into bionex

Trouble with giving back the cash is that the people who paid say .01p will get the same per share as those that buy in the open market .Thats nice potatoes for them , but not so good for the people who may have paid 3p.I am not in yet so still impartial .

that's the rule for new floats yes, but there is also a ruling applicable to existing companies, which kicks in after March 2006.

I am not sure the 3 investments will be sufficient to save Bionex's listing. Anyway, after over 12 months and still failing to find an acquisition, they should give back the cash anyway.

NTV biovex.com takes you to their site with news etc.The thing with bnx is that they have already made an investment and have £3m funds so that covers them agasinst the new legislation I think. New rules say minimum £3m must be raised and investment must be made within X months of float i think.

morphochem.de is the website for info on morphochem

200k valuation is written down, I seemed to recall them typically investing 100k-200k each investment. These were done at 2000/1 valuations which were fairly high in the bio sector.

Bionex is not the best cash shell due to its past history (i.e. not newly created) and there being lots of options at 2.5p I think. But bear in mind AIM is threatening to de-list dormant shells after March 06, so on the one side something needs to happen in the next 10 months, but on the other, if it doesn't you could end up with very illiquid unlisted stock. (being cynical maybe the latter suits the Vandyks better?)

It's not expensive but only if you can get the pennies out of the jar. Remember Izodia to see how a 'safe' play can go horribly wrong.

Then again, I was wrong about Ark - 'it will never float for 100m' quote (still think I was right on valuation, but never mind) - so you pays your money.....

NTV - I don't think the Vandyk's are in this one for the biotech stuff. I think it's more like to be a return of cash or reverse takeover. Either way, it's not expensive.

Agree they look good on paper but they seem to be a bit stuck at the moment (and have been for some time).

Trying to do some research on these because on first looks they appear a reasonable investment, can probably be bought for 1.7p?.Current cash is equal to about 2.3p plus 3 investments in Avidex,Biovex ,Morphochem thrown in for free as make weights .Can anyone throw light on these 3 holdings ?Initial cost ,%of equity held etc.The first 2 seem to be progressing ok but cant find Morphochem anywhere.With £3m on deposit there must surely be a good chance of action here.The cash represents far more than most of the cash shells have been raising on aim recently.
