Quite a few of the original issue of shares were released (free) to Abingdon (ANC) shareholders - I was one of those shareholders. The issue price to those people was effectively 0.00p and anything is a profit. I don't remember what % of BNX shares were issued in this way. I'm looking for a lot more than the issue price before I sell

Just as a bit of fun I thought I'd have a little flutter on this one but I'm mystified about where my trade has gone, so far it hasn't shown up. 92416 purchased at 8.26am. Anyone seen it?

Current quote is 3.4p - 3.5p. So we are now above the original float price of 3.25p. That is, original buyers can now exit at a profit. Another way of looking at that is that just above 3.25p could be a resistance level as those holders bale out.

Taking that into account I suspect that today's performance will be nothing like as staggering as yesterday's. But you never know.

This is from today's Guardian market report. Can't believe the share price now - Ark will have to achieve a bleeding good valuation to justify this:

"On the AIM, Bionex Investments surged 50%, or 1p, to 3p as dealers realised that it owns a sizeable stake in biotech company Ark Therapeutics. Over the weekend it emerged that Ark had appointed CSFB to look at a stock market flotation, which could value the company at up to £200m."

media coverage tomorrow for bionex. most investors have never heard of them and even fewer realise the connection to ark therapeutics.

edit - just reading the header. this is correct. most investors do not know the connection between bionex and restart of new issues. or the connection with Ark therapeutics..

Will bionex actually be in even greater demand until the announcement by Credit Suisse ? Credit Suisse will probably factor in what happens to Bionex and other major Ark financiers in deciding the float price.

When is the float likely to be ? When may an annoucement be expected ?

wish i knew lizzie, its been quiet a day, all my shares seem to be heading in the right direction (makes a change), i think i will hold a little longer just moniter it far closer than i have in the past.

So up 51.2% today ... at the close. About 10% of the company's shares traded today.

Any thoughts about what happens tomorrow?

As it says at the very beginning of this thread, these floated at 3.25p. If these go much higher the original investors will start to be in the money.

Suspect that there is still a bit more to come, but not necessarily today. The MMs can have my shares at 5p today if they want them. LOL

Up 47.5% today ... 2.9p - 3.0p ... incredible!

Rivaldo, I accept that ... but aren't biotechnology companies now starting to come back into favour?

My message posted 65 minutes ago ... never in my wildest dreams did I think that my guess of 2.5p would be achieved within 65 minutes! Quote now 2.4p - 2.6p ...... makes my buy today at 2.08p look rather good!

Well, still a market cap of only £3.5m I suppose Lizzie. Best case scenario - if Ark really do get a £140m valuation pre new money, BNX's stake in Ark alone could be worth £3.5m or more. Then there's the £1m cash plus the other investments. So in theory there's another 50% plus rise possible.

But, as I said before, everything at present rides on Ark, and from the sound of it they'll have to significantly compromise. I'm happy to ride the remainder of my holding and see what happens from here - the risk of downside has greatly increased, so I'm happy to have taken profits.

Rivaldo, even if they need to do that to an extent .... still very clear that BNX is due for a significant upwards rerating. Very pleased to have been able to buy a few more this morning .. and already the latest bid price is more than I paid earlier today.

Up up and away ..... close today 2.5p + ?

Hmmm...looks like a re-run of the last time they tried to float. I reckon they'll have to compromise on valuation as they obviously need funding, and the bio float market (especially in the UK) is still not good.
