SunnyBoy25,

Yes, you've every right to comment in any way you desire to on any share, especially if you hold shares in that particular company. I've noticed over the years on ADVFN that most threads have a core of frustrated shareholders who perpetually think that the company is destined for great things, despite the share price having plummeted to the deepest depths and cannot stomach reading realistic posts about the company's true situation.

In over 13 years I have never posted about a share that I don't hold and quite often my posts have been on the negative side, borne out of frustration and disappointment, particularly with myself for having been stupid enough to buy the rubbish in the first place. For example: I still hold PPC but no longer post on its threads because I was continually shouted down by all those who knew better. And guess whose instincts turned out to be correct in the end?

With GOO/BOIL, much averaging down has got my break-even price down to around 1.6p. I'm not prepared to chuck any more money at it and I never expect the share price to ever get anywhere close to that level again. Reason being is that it has very little going for it now. No current production revenue, crazy pipe dreams of any drilling taking place in the next two years and a cash sum which is being regularly eroded on administration costs. Yet there will still be some that will appear to shout me down and hark on about the company's prospects. One is bound to ask: so why don't you sell? Answer to that is that it's just not worth it. I'm down so much that I might as well consider the whole amount written off. They are living, I'm afraid, in cloud-cuckoo land.

The Guardian,

Not only you got extremely personal & disrespectful in your message, but you also did a false claim. You seem to have a short memory, so let me remind you of some message exchange between us in the not so distant past:

-------------

The Guardian - 15 Jun 2016 - 19:37:44 - 7348 of 7735
sunnyboy, what is your point? Are you a holder?

-

Baron Oil PLC - BOIL
SunnyBoy25 - 15 Jun 2016 - 20:23:26 - 7350 of 7735
Correct, I am a current BOIL shareholder, one among 1,191 shareholders from the Annual report 2015 having 0.5% or less :)

My point? Like it or not but I think share price is falling for a reason(s) which has less to do with world in general but more with company's operations, news flow, and motivation to create a shareholder value hence volume that is drying up and TINY average volume!

--------------

Things haven't changed since then for my shareholding....

I could ask moderators to review your post and take the appropriate action but I think it's best to keep that message as a reference - for everyone to see your pointless anger and lack of MANners when it comes to communicating with other human beings.

P.S. I can say what I want and HOW I want it re any stocks especially the ones I have got some % shareholding! Don't like the hard truths re 0.48p stock after many years in business? Not my problem!

Another venture eh? One that covers our operating costs and secures the companies future.

For some reason we all seem to want the same thing on this board!

If they don't drill off the back of Karoon's programme it will never happen imo
That's for the future

In the meantime onshore the way forward, XXI, Island M and hopefully another venture to play for!

As I understand it, it will take 18 months to plan and execute a drill in Z34 as there is no existing infrastructure to support off shore drilling. We are already looking at 2018 even if we start now. The only way that could be shortened is by hanging on to the coat-tails of Karoon for their Z38 drilling which is looking like late 2017.

All AIM shares are like that now pem. Too many traders waiting to destroy the price for the sake of a couple of quid.

SunnyBoy,
See a psychiatrist because getting your enjoyment from laughing at the share price of a struggling company in which you obviously have no shares is not normal. Ignore those little voices in your head and get some help.

and when commodity prices rises profitability rises with it
timing as ever

Karoon & Union are going to have to take an educated guess when drilling offshore on OP's imo
Drilling/ planning will take ages so best get cracking for the planned wells in 2017!

If we bought into something that was producing and providing an income to cover all operating costs the share price would rise and stay higher.

Lets hope that that is our next step.

Haha back to square one! Couldn't sustain a micro rise from beaten up level for more than a single day!

Well a slightly greater than average volume on Friday but still tiny so no surprises here lol

Tiny gain from record lows and then flooded with a seller
That's an ongoing major issue here

Appreciate your thoughts Pembury and the Guardian
.
I think the board will find us something decent. There is a lot of experience on the board covering wide global areas. They have also had some time to evaluate quite a few options whilst we have waited for the UOG and IM money to come through.
The key questionis whether they need to wait for the UOG money before committing to preferred option(s).

Main problem will be finding an opportunity that can still make a profit at the current oil price. POO is currently riding higher on the prospect of an agreement between OPEC and Russia to constrain production. It hasn't materialised in the past.

Sorry it is 1.9p
google Baron Oil Cantor Fitzgerald

sign of the times because it was around 15p i think on speculation of the Peru offshore deal years back. Believe the share price was about 8-9p and all downhill from there!

Back to today and a depressed share price of 0.55p and cash in the bank to buy into another project - this next deal needs to be brilliant as the cash has to work this time. Freed up cash available will be £4.2m. Looking at the deals in the sector a good % of this should go a long long way with oil/ gas prices where they are!.

No more high risk drills in unproven areas please. Need to farmin to a discovery/ production and fund development/ well costs for equity stake, lower risk stuff. Hope the bod are well connected to open up new areas?.

If the board can get the following achieved this year then progress could be made;

Island Magee - Fridays RNS best result possible imo, cash out +interest, extended option in place
XXI - need farmout asap and well carry, 50% good (and some cash?) - drilling asap
Z-34 - Has to be drilled off the back of Karoon's programme next year 2017

So VITAL a decent new near term acquisition with some activity on the ground sounds good!
Hopefully a deal is close?.

2.2 pence eh?

So I wonder what that is based on?

Success in Z34, XX1 and IM?

yes a double positive, cash out for new projects and still involved in the license if they want it next year. Let's hope INFA make some serious progress by March!

Actually, I'm quite excited about today. I'm not looking for a quick return, I just want to be confident about BOIL's future for now.

If we didn't need the money urgently, we would have continued the INFA loan until December and recovered more interest.

With a bit of luck and a following wind, we may have found a producing asset that we can farm into using existing funds plus our returned loan and interest from INFA.

Fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The majority of us have been here for 10 years or so. Wouldn't it be great if our patience was rewarded.
