Posted at 14/3/2012 13:26 by wexboy Hi folks,Just finished a two part review of all the Russia focused/related closed-end funds out there, including BEE - hope you'll take a look & comment: Cheers, Wexboy |

Posted at 04/5/2006 22:16 by dcb Another BEE-man here, Nephin, I'm happy to say. |
Posted at 04/5/2006 21:09 by nephin Hello Terry, I can just see you over there behind the sofa - are you a long term holder of BEE or a recent covert? (not prying you understand, just interested) |
Posted at 20/2/2006 22:50 by m.t.glass I hold BEE, which matches EST stride for stride (though EST has done it for longer, climbing five years running regardless of FTSE down years). Both 75-80% up on a year ago. The best stocks very often have quiet threads ;o)See other impressive (quiet) investment trust stocks at |
Posted at 19/10/2005 13:05 by stillbroke That's the gamble. Sod's law dictates that the bounce comes the minute you've sold. Any good news (partic re avian flu fizzling out) would see a rebound. I traded EST on the dead cat bounce a couple of weeks ago and don't hold currently. If I did I'd hold but wouldn't add yet. I do hold BEE though, which I add to monthly through the savings scheme. So I'm not too fussed at the present sell-off as it means I'll be buying some more cheaper. |
Posted at 19/10/2005 11:13 by stillbroke Avian flu in Eastern Europe, oil price decline, wider market sell-off affecting riskier emerging markets disproportionately. |
Posted at 24/9/2005 09:12 by stillbroke Despite their astronomical rise, central and eastern European stockmarkets are still attractively valued, argues Jupiter fund manager Elena Shaftan.Citywire A-rated Shaftan, whose £215 million Jupiter Emerging European Opportunities fund celebrates its third anniversary this week, believes central Europe is currently on a price/earnings ratio of just 11 times and also sees good value in Russia. |
Posted at 21/9/2005 21:25 by stillbroke Nephin - thanks. I'm moving over to buying and trading indices and ITs 100% as I can do without checking all the RNSs with baited breath at 7am. My trading costs should fall as well as my blood pressure. Edit - not to mention the time wasted reading bulletin boards ;) I think BEE has risen on the back of the oil price largely. |
Posted at 21/9/2005 21:03 by m.t.glass BEE 80% gain over the past 12 months.Revamped the header. Added recent breakdown of main holdings. Removed outdated annual report. Changed mix of charts (with link to Post 1 in which EST vs BEE charts are now overlaid for comparison). |
