11/7/2016 12:57 | OK , who is having fun at Farnborough this week and spying on the rivals? | wad collector
08/7/2016 17:01 | Well that is a nice end to the week , close to 7 yr high . Can't say that about much else in my portfolio. | wad collector
03/7/2016 09:33 | BAE SYSTEMS "growing" drones! | ribblewader
01/7/2016 19:25 | Ahh, Farnborough. Forgot about that in these chaotic times.Nice one. Would be good if BAE pulled a rabbit (or 2) out the hat :-) | chiefbrody
01/7/2016 19:10 | Perhaps some potentially lucrative orders will be announced at the Farnborough show in a few days time. India are reported to be considering an order for 30 more Hawk jets although final assembly will be carried out in India.. | standish11
01/7/2016 18:16 | Weak pound/$ causing this. Anything with US earnings is going to go up in sterling terms. | yf23_1
01/7/2016 14:49 | Not bad timing by the Director. 2K profit in a day lol. | chiefbrody
01/7/2016 13:45 | Nice. 52 week high needs to be broken (5.35). Didn't expect this. | babbler
01/7/2016 13:40 | One director buy fwiw. | wad collector
01/7/2016 09:16 | Yup. News afoot? A run up to results (favourable) at the end of the month? Defensive qualities? | chiefbrody
01/7/2016 08:08 | Interesting, heading for historic highs now! | ribblewader
30/6/2016 09:11 | Well , you wouldn't know the last week has been chaotic looking at the share price here. Pardoning the pun , it has been a defensive share. | wad collector
23/6/2016 16:45 | Wad, it was the market in general which will be interesting. BAE i believe will fall but rise in a week or so on exit, but if its remain I cannot see much of a rise (only on sentiment perhaps). Banking sector however, lets see its been a good couple of days up to now....RW | ribblewader
23/6/2016 16:28 | It is certainly a wet bonfire today , closing at the opening price and less than 1.5% swing all day ; not one to excite the traders. I suspect there will have been a lot of stop losses set for tomorrow however. | wad collector
23/6/2016 10:48 | Looks like the fireworks have begun , but maybe it will turn out to be a day of wet bonfires. Tempting to do some intraday trading , but don't think I will try it on BAE the swing probably not going to be much. | wad collector
23/6/2016 08:04 | This will be an interesting couple of days | ribblewader
22/6/2016 16:44 | Today : Wednesday 22 June 2016 The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) has awarded BAE Systems a five-year contract worth as much as $75 million to provide enhanced geospatial intelligence technical and analytical support. The award was issued under the INSCOM Global Intelligence indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. Not a big deal but perhaps a sign of the distant future? BTW I like the look of the chart this week , but the fireworks start tomorrow. | wad collector

10/6/2016 13:56 | No, but it is not ONLY a trainer. I was refering to sales volumn | ribblewader
10/6/2016 12:54 | Are you seriously comparing a trainer with a fighter? | pocopicu
10/6/2016 12:49 | Fang, Your right, forgot about those two. They make good aircraft but struggle to make much of an export impact (I think SAAB sold the Grippen to SA but not many, Dassault seem to have an export market in South America but yet again not in huge numbers). Our best export by far is Hawk which I believe has out sold both SAAB and Dassault in numbers (if you include in country manufacturing licences) | ribblewader
10/6/2016 11:51 | But Dassault are collaborating with BAES on an autonomous fighter. The word on the street is that the UAV funding is unlikely to continue for much longer. | pocopicu
10/6/2016 11:46 | @ribble, Sorry - my wing comment was me being facetious! :) It was a lie being pushed by Osborne though. Which Andrew Neil nailed him on. Re Single European country designing, developing, and producing a new aircraft without collaboration. Don't the French still do that?(Dassault) The Swedes(Saab Grippen) | fangorn2
10/6/2016 07:07 | Fangorn2. I dont think a Brexit will effect Airbus wing production. Broughton will keep churning them out for as long as they are needed nor do I see any real problems with Typhoon collaberation. The days of a single European country designing, developing and producing a new aircraft without collaberation have sadly long gone | ribblewader
09/6/2016 20:00 | @popi, That's nothing compared to Brexit impact on airbus - get ready to sell the company short in size.Their Airbus's will be without any wings going forward for all new production! :) Re Defence, we're better of collaborating with USA - as we are on F35 Farnborough Airshow @FIAFarnborough Jun 7 A big #FIA16 welcome to @LockheedMartin Great partnerships reach great heights with the arrival of @thef35 | fangorn2 |
