27/1/2016 14:48 | Moody's report, titled "Satellite Services -- Europe: A Rebound in Revenue Growth, Stable Margins and Plateauing Capex to Support Credit Quality in 2016", is available on www.moodys.com. Moody's subscribers can access this report via the link provided at the end of this press release. "In 2016, we expect stable credit metrics for the larger European satellite service operators, with revenue growth set to rebound in the coming year after stagnating in 2015 and capex growth to slow," says Alejandro Nunez, a Moody's Vice President -- Senior Analyst and author of the report. Moody's expects aggregate organic revenue growth of 3% (at constant currencies) in 2016 for the larger players Eutelsat SA (Baa3 positive), Inmarsat plc (Ba1 stable) and SES S.A. (Baa2 stable), and a higher growth rate for Avanti Communications Group plc (Avanti, Caa1 stable), a niche emerging markets operator. Over the near to medium term, operators exposed to fixed and mobile data services, particularly for enterprise networks and consumer broadband, and to emerging markets will experience the strongest growth. Moody's expects the sector's capex as a percentage of revenues (excluding Avanti) to be in the range of 32%-34% in 2015-16, moderating toward its long-term average of 34%, and that this capex-to-revenues level will decline in 2017 to under 30%. In 2016, SES's and Eutelsat's EBITDA margins will likely remain in the 74%-77% range and Inmarsat's will stay between 52% and 55%. Reflecting its earlier stage of development, Avanti's EBITDA margin is likely to trend above 20%. | standish11
27/1/2016 13:30 | jadetic - Where has TW been consistantly wrong on the bear tack? During share price time he has a near perfect record as far as I have seen. Longs, not so good...but better than a lot of so called pro's. | elrico
27/1/2016 10:54 | I followed Tom W for several years, at one time actively, then just to accumulate data. My conclusion was that he was more of a danger than a help. He was wrong big time so many times, even shouting off his mouth at those who disagreed with him, then turning coat (when his followers had lost most of their money) and claiming he was wise!! The main fault I have with him is that he was NOT WRONG ALL THE TIME! I am still looking for a tipster that is wrong all the time. TW is the nearest I have come to this. | jadeticl3
26/1/2016 08:06 | An honest post for once above. If we were a?l so clever we wouldn't be posting on here & shouting our tips from the roof tops. We all make mistakes & those who make fewest are the most successful. | cocker
25/1/2016 22:37 | They are as valid as any other source, and more valid than anonymous bulletin board contributors (myself included of course). No one gets it right every time, for example Carl Icahn is about to get wiped out in both Freeport McMoran and Chesapeake, so blindly following anyone is a mistake. Personally I now follow the chart first. I wish I had listened to the short voices here when the share price was 700, 600, 500 as I would now have more money. I'll listen much more carefully to a negative voice than a positive one as I have learnt to my cost that it will save me money. | hpcg
25/1/2016 22:29 | No one in their right mind takes any notice of Lucien Miers TW or EK. They're a bunch of fraudsters | estienne
22/1/2016 18:37 | Keep buying 180 next week | nw99
22/1/2016 14:17 | Relax enjoy the run to 180 | nw99
22/1/2016 14:05 | How very true Scantrader. However, net asset value per share is £1.31. I guess its all about which numbers you are looking at & at which point one decides its a buy or sell. | cocker
22/1/2016 10:44 | More importantly AVN have invested a huge amount into the infrastructure & with a mrk cap of only 160mill it surely is a takeover target at the very least. | cocker
22/1/2016 10:20 | Good volume very bullish sign here on the upside | nw99
22/1/2016 09:44 | Certainly much bigger volumes here over the last couple of days.Move towards the results on the fourth should be interesting. If we get reassurance in the growth of income with these we could start to see a rerate. | mjcferguson
22/1/2016 09:26 | Sellers also hammer a share price because they don't want to be diluted. Potential new investors de-facto hammer a share price because they will only add money with a margin of safety. Companies which need to go back to the market for money time and again are failures. Investors can mitigate some risk by lending shares. Denying them the right to do that with their property is immoral and would also reduce equity prices across the board. | hpcg
22/1/2016 09:26 | Shorters are the market regulators. Who else is going to point out such accounting shenanigans as this? - | bwakem
22/1/2016 08:51 | Chart points to resistance around 180 | nw99
22/1/2016 08:50 | Shorts covering fast | nw99
22/1/2016 08:48 | Shorters hammer a share price and make it harder to raise capital without massive dilution. | weatherman
22/1/2016 08:01 | Topping up here chart rebound should be sharp | nw99
21/1/2016 19:59 | Good move up | nw99
21/1/2016 18:45 | weatherman - shorters have no effect on the company performance. Companies which perform well do not get shorted. As a former long here I am ashamed to have been taken for a ride by management who consistently promised what they could not deliver. Management which pays itself well irrespective of what happens to risk capital. I lost part of my soul my misdirecting capital which could have been better spent elsewhere. An empty satellite benefits no one. | hpcg
21/1/2016 18:23 | Are shorters proud to make a profit by risking people's jobs and undermining the British national economic interest ? What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose your own soul ? | weatherman
21/1/2016 10:31 | This is really quite illiquid and I suspect the bounce is mostly shorts closing. When I closed my short a few days ago I had to do it in 4 chunks and the price moved up on every trade. My position was only ~ £40k. | bwakem |
