04/4/2017 09:04 | "Sales up £250m. Profit up £2.5m. That's what you call discounting to drive revenue." Incorrect, the relatively low profit is due the costs of growth and expansion. It is a good thing, not a bad thing. | notacrowd
04/4/2017 08:11 | 18% growth for U.K. Is pretty poor. Exited China & concentrating on international growth.Looks like they could could be heading to the last frontier of e commerce on earth- India. | harebridge
04/4/2017 07:24 | Sales up £250m. Profit up £2.5m. That's what you call discounting to drive revenue. | lebiche

03/4/2017 18:12 | Even if this were making £2.00 a share instead of 20p it would be very expensive. Have this feeling the results will be so-so at best and the great descent will begin maybe quite sharply. Probably be proved wrong - at least it is making a profit unlike some of the other "Tulips" | hosede
01/4/2017 19:36 | Question is Will there be a share split say 20 for 1 ? or Is it going to be taken over by a China co. or USA co If its a t/o are we forced to sell and pay tax ? | saturn5
15/3/2017 11:04 | For me it is not so much being able to get a member on the BOD as being forced to offer to buy out all shareholders if they reach 30% at at least the highest price they have paid for any shares in the previous 3 months, I believe. Is that their objective? | gclark
14/3/2017 18:35 | Just done a bit of digging. Cumulative Voting: Board Representation for Minority Shareholders. Looks like they can put a candidate forward and vote for him but would have to muster up enough votes to get him elected. Anyone know more about this area? | tonyrcarr
14/3/2017 18:29 | Anders Holch Povlsen must be rubbing his hands in glee thinking that he will have influence over Bestseller and rival ASOS | tonyrcarr
14/3/2017 18:26 | Looks quite strategic - keep Zalando away from a potentially large customer database acquisition. At 30% do they automatically get a member on the board or do they have to formally request it? | tonyrcarr
14/3/2017 18:03 | They're getting closer to that 30% mark. | johnyee 7
02/3/2017 15:33 | Where do we think that the next stop will be? | tonyrcarr
10/2/2017 11:17 | black bear---not impressed in tern and peg If asos is so good then the share price should shoot up to 55 or 60 BOO is struggling to rise | saturn5

02/2/2017 15:39 | Saturn I think there are special allowances for retiring directors - but I think they're only in thousands not millions - but no doubt he holds the shares in tax efficients trusts etc. | hosede
31/1/2017 20:10 | I wonder does he pay CGT or are directors let off this charge | saturn5
27/1/2017 20:24 | Ranger......paid for that divorse long ago. ...anyway hes still got 5.1mill shares, at today's price, £250 million value, he got off very lightly for £70 million settlement!! | telbap
27/1/2017 08:58 | Maybe, or it could say that he is still paying for his divorce. £70 million he needs to find I think, plus more for his new house! | ranger101
26/1/2017 15:17 | so Robertson sells again does that give us a message to also get out ? | saturn5
20/1/2017 13:39 | Thanks Net. Eventually as Moorsie says all these firms will end up cutting each others throats. There is only a limited market and if(when) things get tough one thing you CAN do without is new clothes. | hosede
20/1/2017 08:40 | trading update from AIM share MYSALE (MYSL) today... Worth comparing.. Its all about female on-lne shopping, so it is worth comparing. | netcurtains
13/1/2017 11:30 | Still creeping up - extraordinary that punters see these figures as good. I guess you can fool some of the people all of the time | hosede
12/1/2017 15:10 | Shockingly bad announcement today As said above - all about revenue growth but nothing on profit. They state that their margin has gone done by 30bps but state as according to plan! Has anyone seen such a plan?? I haven't and I rechecked previous announcements and Annual Reports There is only one benefit of growth with no profit and that is getting the money to finance the infrastructure growth. However this is a very fickle business - there is no lock in for customers i.e. they will buy future products from whoever is offering the cheapest price and best service in the future. You are at the mercy of the latest company who is prepared to grow sales by losing money! It looks like a Ponzy scheme as an investment and the renumeration being taken by the senior management is obscene compared to the profit of the company!! | moorsie2 |
