05/10/2016 08:22 | Good old shake! wonder if the Gap will fill at 1.9499? Interesting - can't even buy 10k but can sell 500k at the ask?? | geng
05/10/2016 08:11 | MacGregor - it too used to be a concern of mine, however the last RNS clarified the situation greatly, which I believe is main reason for recent rally in share price from 1.8 past 2p. Smelter is no longer dependant on 3rd Party concentrate and Nickel at or around 10K/tn means it is highly likely smelter will be restarted. Even in worst case scenario, if smelter restart is delayed in event Nickel spot drops below 10k/tn, AISC are now around 5k/ tn so ASA have more than enough operating margin to service bond repayments. | redtrend
05/10/2016 07:54 | With $150m+ of revenue per annum they do have the cashflow to service debt and any bullet repayments ? Given the strength in the share price and possibility of strategic action with ASA Gold they also have equity raising potential now. In contrast to previous periods they don't have the Mpinga empire-building dead weight of lots of pointless exploration expenditure either. | the stigologist
05/10/2016 07:44 | Whenever gold and/or nickel drop I fear the smelter bond hoves back into view. | mr macgregor

04/10/2016 16:49 | I don't know anything but they seem to have got their ducks lined up and the main thing is this issue of ASA Gold listing which would unlock considerable value. They have mentioned this as something they are considering and the Management changes recently have given further credence to this. The fact they have apparently been in London meeting investors (coinciding with recent whoosh higher) makes me think they have been going around the City doing a 'beauty parade' of financiers with regard to choosing one to manage the ASA Gold listing (probably in the UK, but I'd suggest they should consider HK/Chinese listing component as well to tap into premium ratings on those markets It seems clear they don't believe the market is giving their assets the correct value and the clearest way to make people sit up and take notice is to do some investor education and /or split the various businesses out so they are easier to analyse and invest in. For example there maybe some Gold investment trusts who have remit to invest in Gold stocks but not in Conglomerates/Base Metals who may be precluded from investing in ASA as is but could do so if ASA Gold splits out. For example ASA Gold with annual production of 130k oz p.a. and 5m oz gold resource base would easily command a value of c.$250m on a standalone basis on a PER/cashflow basis or $EV/oz valuation BNC Nickel itself on a standalone basis taking into account amount invested in it, the replacement value etc could be worth $100-200m if it's producing 8500 tonnes per annum at c.$11k per tonne with 50% margin | the stigologist

04/10/2016 15:23 | Ha ha an intraday movement today of about 0.5p... when it was trading at 0.5p just a few weeks ago That basically tells you how mispriced this has been and we are now getting the upwards volatility you'd expect here. Quite confident this will be 10p within the year and we'll probably have daily intraday movements of 2.5p i.e. the total 'value' of the Company today will just be a normal intraday swing. | the stigologist |
