30/9/2016 16:52 | They'll be a hell of a lot of people waiting for a pullback in order to buy. Any dips have been bought straight away. | mreasygoing
30/9/2016 16:33 | Incredible stuff. Only just the start of the re-rate. | mreasygoing
30/9/2016 16:21 | Looks like good news coming!! Maybe Mugabe on his way...I hope so. | moormoney
30/9/2016 16:06 | Looks like it, paying 2.575 now | moonwizz
30/9/2016 16:04 | Said for a while it can gap up between 2p and 4p and 4p and 6p there's simply no resistance | the stigologist
30/9/2016 15:53 | 2.44 paid now, moving up nicely, I think this will be a trend for the foreseeable future | moonwizz
30/9/2016 15:32 | Looking like a strong close, 2.4 paid | moonwizz
30/9/2016 15:32 | ASA at £30-40m Market Cap also coming into proper Institutional Investment phase now. I suspect they may be in London doing a beauty parade of Corporate Financiers with regard to which of them will get the gig for a UK or Chinese listing for ASA Gold ? Maybe look out for some press stories in coming days/weeks. If they want to do this best to do it in October/November at latest not when everyone goes on holiday in Decemebr. | the stigologist
30/9/2016 15:25 | It's certainly a compelling case. Well that tick up puts me in profit. I think it demonstrates that patience can pay off. Now I want a decent profit for my trouble. | mreasygoing
30/9/2016 15:08 | I think repetition is important because people dip in and out either trading or in terms of focus. And it's a really important potential value event. I've never seen or heard MWA or ASA management this engaged with getting the story out there. "Our stock is hugely undervalued. We are doing the business operationally. Strategically we're considering major action to address valuation shortfall" That's why the stock is going up with barely any retrace. People are slowly catching on to the virtuous circle/spiral that you get when Management are in your corner, fully engaged and backed by a tailwind of rising commodity prices on top of great fundamental asset base. | the stigologist
30/9/2016 12:47 | Apologies for the repetition. Great minds think alike lol. Reminder to self, read all the text in future. Anyway does no harm to repeat it as it's important and probably responsible for the massive volume in July. | gwr7
30/9/2016 12:28 | Amazing to think a few years ago this went from 4p to 16p when Mwana/ASA wasn't even in production ! | the stigologist
30/9/2016 12:27 | The Stigologist - 14 Sep 2016 - 07:16:11 - 850 of 1022 wow also in the report and accounts had not noticed this before The Group has impressive gold-mining and exploration assets in both Zimbabwe and the DRC. These assets would dwarf the current combined value of the Group if they were valued independently and on a pure book value basis. In order to unlock the true value of these assets, Asa Group is exploring the possibility of listing a separate gold subsidiary, Asa Gold. This plan is part of the Groupâ€& | the stigologist
30/9/2016 12:26 | I've been talking about that for a few weeks. I think that is the main reason for the big recent rise. An ASA Gold listing in China would be huge. I think the recent Management changes play into that narrative. Chinese putting Zim guys in charge of ASA Bindura Rump whilst they will head up ASA Gold which could easily be valued at $250-500m on a Chinese listing | the stigologist
30/9/2016 11:55 | I found this in the annual report. I hadn't noticed it at the time. "The Group has impressive gold-mining and exploration assets in both Zimbabwe and the DRC. These assets would dwarf the current combined value of the Group if they were valued independently and on a pure book-value basis. In order to unlock the true value of these assets, Asa Group is exploring the possibility of listing a separate gold subsidiary, Asa Gold. This plan is part of the Group's constant drive to increase shareholder value. It is also based on the fact that some investors discount multi-commodity miners, since they do not offer exposure to one metal." | gwr7
30/9/2016 09:33 | The assets have been waiting on and in the ground for years. Money will come to money here. | gwr7
30/9/2016 08:56 | Stranger things have happened Mick Davis turned a shell Xstrata into a FTSE 100 Global Mining Major worth Billions ASA starts with asset base of c.$200m ! | the stigologist
30/9/2016 08:43 | Then you woke up. | mreasygoing
30/9/2016 08:42 | Things to look forward to that may happen. 1/ Smelter comes on line 2/Mugabe dies, disposed, or forced to resign 3/ ASA gold floated. 4/ Development of ASA acreage 5/Flotation in China 6/Flotation in the US 7/Graduation from AIM to Main Market 8/ASA enters footsie 350 9/ASA enters footsie 250 10/ASA enters footise 100 What price ASA then? | taxibabe
30/9/2016 08:27 | I wouldn't worry about minor levels. With the ASA Gold possible listing and the great cashflow from all the ops at the moment I think 10p is nailed on over the next year. We should gap up easily to 4p and 6p at the very least | the stigologist
30/9/2016 08:25 | I think it's 2.8 I've seen mentioned | moonwizz
30/9/2016 08:20 | Didn't someone post that 2.30ish is first major resistance? | bashers2
30/9/2016 08:19 | 2.50 by close of play. | casabella2 |
